Hi guys,
I get my SIM provided through work which is good but means I need to pony up my own cash when it comes time to upgrade the handset. My Nexus 5 has been great but I've replaced the battery once and that one's worn now too.
My budget's pretty tight at the moment so can't afford an S7 or other top of the line phone.
My brother has just had his Nexus 6P repaired under warranty and was sent a refurb. It's only got 32GB storage and the 6P doesn't have an SD slot. He says he'll take $400 for it.
Do you think this is a good deal? Any recommendations?
You could get a Mi Max (Prime). It's a pretty decent phone, though it's only a mid ranger, at $199 USD ($260) it has all you could ever ask for:
big display
decently fast SD652
4GB of RAM
expandable memory on top of it's big memory capacity
Dual sim supporting 4G and 3G at same time
Marshmallow ROM + OTA updates
Fast fingerprint reader, IR Blaster
Camera can record 2160P video.
battery is absolutely gigantic
I'm also partial to the Moto G4 Plus. Great mid-ranger device, although with some flaws: mainly battery is not super generous and the lack of protection on the camera lens is a bit worrying. Also no NFC, but the asking price is low at $300 and you can buy it locally.
The moto X force is also another great phone with B28 support, although the chipset it runs is a little outdated and it doesn't have fingerprint reader.
