Came across the following deal. I'm not sure how legitimate the $6,180 price is, but it was the quoted comparator price.

  I think you could take this with a grain of salt.

  But on the face of it, $2k is very cheap. I'd want to know more about the hotels, and in particular where they are (ie centrally located or on the outskirts of cities/towns). As food isn't included, this is important as you won't wont to be forced to eat in hotels.

  I was in Rajastan about 10 years ago … amazing expereince, it's a definate must do.

      Close, it was actually to attend a 7 day seminar, entitled: "How the lonely and disenfranchised turn to Internet trolling to feel relevant". It was fascinating.

  Definitely read the fine print:

  SYD/MEL/BNE/PER fly China Southern via China; ADL is Singapore but there is a $250 "interstate surcharge" per person

  Some flights up to 2 transits or stopovers.

  Then it's 15 days on a bus around India.

      Probably on one of those buses shared with the villagers and livestock with 50 people on the roof and just as many hanging from the side
