Uncertain it's on special or an error, I ordered one pair with other items and the system confirmed the order.

          OK Argument was a strong word. I strongly disagreed and was upset that I wasn't getting a refund and being treated like I was dodgy.

          Personally I don't believe it's wrong because at the time I didn't know if it was clearance or a pricing error. I received an email to say to collect.
          I wouldn't have bothered if the guy that rang me didn't treat me like I was dodgy or lying. I told him I had a confirmation email. He also incorrectly said I'd been refunded.

          If this was a genuine pricing error they would have at least reversed my charges apologised and offered me a discount or some remedy. I got offered the clearance price that was printed on the box. On top of that the box scanned for 1c when it eventually was purchased on the day.

          I have worked at another department store and there's no way we would have ever treated a customer that way. There's nothing dodgy, 1c is currency and legally its offer and acceptance. I paid, I had a confirmation email to collect so I went to collect my goods.

          At the other store I worked at You honour it and change the price as soon as possible. Not leave it permanently and tell the customer they can't have the product. Then keep their money. What if it was $1?? 50c?? It's still wrong.

          It is worth mentioning others received a cancellation email and a promise to refund which I did not.

          The woman at customer service was nice and she felt annoyed she couldn't refund me. (which I reluctantly but politely accepted initially)

          When I was informed I would not be getting a refund. That's when I felt annoyed mainly because I wasted my time but also I felt like they made a mistake and I was being taken for a ride then treated like I was doing the wrong thing.

          The manager was present for something unrelated, eventually after a discussion, apologised and offered me the shoes. I told her I just wanted the shoes. I saw her point of view was reasonable and paid an extra $5
          Thanked her alot and the staff member originaly serving me and that's it.
          At no point did I yell or was unreasonable, I just wanted my shoes or a refund. It was the principal, fight for your legal rights or people will walk over you.

        • Was dropping by this thread for a quick laugh and sadly came upon Cheapsize's tale. The level of entitlement is just disgusting with some users, particularly the newer ones. Incredibly triggering.

  • received the call, won't bother with the refund. said to come instore.

    • got this out of the blue;
