Pretty good deal for this camera. Does not specify which lens but I would guess its the 18-55mm which you could sell to offset the price further if you already own Canon glass.

Many people don't care about 4k.at the end of the day it's primarily for photography
If this questions is meant serious you probably should stick to a point and shot camera.
Trust me, I take better photos than you even I use my phone or a point&shoot and let you use the 80D :)
@jva:
Put your money where your mouth is. Whereabouts are you located
Sadly I have no money :(
Yes and in this day and age I think Mirrorless/M43 is a much better option for people new to photography. Who wants to lug around DSLR these days. You can get a great mirrorless camera starting around $700.
Didn't have much to do with 4/3 any recommendations for a good body? I guess there wouldn't be much of a point taking a kit lens
It all depends on what you're photographing. For action I'd still go DSLR though the newer Sonys are getting there.
Wow. I would have thought <$1000 by now, at least for body only, but apparently not.
It's predecessor the 70D has gotten pretty cheap at the end of it's sales life. Without any specials the 70D kit is $1199 at JBHiFi.

But some people had issues getting it to focus for fast lenses.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA6JnzYSDJEI remember getting my 80d with 18-55kit from Good Guys eBay store, it cost me 1200 with a 20% off code. that's the lowest ive seen it espcially with a 100$ cashback making it $1100
its a nice thought to try and sell on the kit lens but really who's going to buy it? Would be lucky to get 80 bucks for it, better off keeping it.
Yeah I reckon. $50 is the going rate and that's only if someone needs a cheap, all-rounder lens.
Reverse mount it.
That's not cheap for a non-4k camera.
