  • I personally like to buy Matcha from ebay. I have bought from various sellers on ebay and some are good quality and some aren't.
This is the link I used to buy…

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/80g-Natural-Organic-Matcha-Green-…

Its 80g Matcha and only $3.89.

It's a good business to buy from online and resell in Australia as it is very expensive here.

P.s This is not a marketing thing and I do not sell matcha products anywhere. I, Myself is a matcha addict and I wouldn't spend over $5 for 80g of matcha.

The link you have posted is for powdered green tea powder and despite the title, is not actually matcha at all as it comes from China. Real matcha is produced in Japan only and is quite expensive to produce, hence the higher end price.
Much like most things in life, you tend to get what you pay for. At $3.89 per 80g, I suspect this is a low-quality culinary green tea powder made from older leaves that have not been properly shaded, de-stemmed or de-veined. The result is a dull, yellow hay-like powder that contains far fewer nutrients than real matcha and is not pleasant to consume.

If you've tried various sellers on eBay I'd encourage you to give our matcha a try and compare it to what you're currently using.

I am confident you'll see a huge difference in colour, taste, aroma and consistency.

yeah…not too sure i would trust cheap food products manufactured in china.
not much of a bargain if you end with contaminated food.
maybe its fine…maybe its not..how would you know unless you get it tested yourself ?

    • Additionally, those new to matcha who end up trying a cheaper, lower quality green tea powder are often put off by the taste and never get the chance to experience what real Japanese matcha is like.

    • I have tasted it myself and I have bought numerous times from shops. I can't tell the difference. The one I buy from Ebay is the same quality as the shop's matcha latte. It dissolves quickly and nice green color. maybe there are bad quaklity ones online but you just gotta fight the right seller. You shouldn't judge them all just because what you know about it. I have been drinking ebay matcha for over year now and I am fine and haven't had any problems. I use it for cakes as well and its all fine. It's up to you to decide.
