Need Kitchen Sink Mixer for Budget Price and Decent Quality
Comments
Aldi also occasionally sells them too. I purchased their one about 6 months ago and no complaints with it so far
I bought a mixer with combined filter outlet for $80 shipped of eBay from China. 3 years on and going strong.
I did check ebay..but the wait time is almost 1 month..we want it asap within $100.
Try Reece.
Ask for Base Mk2 model. Around $60, it will last more than twice as long as bunnings, and Reece is also good if any warranty issues.
Try checking ikea. Some of their higher end mixers are cheaper than an equivalent at Bunnings. I have their mixer installed in my kitchen sink, no problems so far.
I bought the cheapest mixer from Bunnings and a couple of years later it cracked long the seam under normal use
Ikea is the cheapest ones with long warranties.

10 year warranty for $50! I'm sure they will just swap it over for you if you make a warranty claim without checking the product.
I bought a $25 for my rental property from Ikea. for some reason it's advertised '10 year warranty' until you read the fine print.
Whatever brand you buy, just make sure it has a ceramic cartridge and that the cartridge is a standard size.
I bought an expensive mixer once, no standard size and they didn't have a replacement cartridge. They refunded me the whole purchase price as it was under warranty so I bought a cheaper one.
and if there spend another $50 to use Feb family voucher, although sometimes the spend threshold is lower/higher in other months.
"Here's your monthly discount voucher for February — you'll receive $15 off when you spend $99 or more."
Or get this one which is on special for $24.99. Also a 10 year warranty:
That's the model I bought (LAGAN).
It was advertised with a 10 year warranty, until you read the fine print. Ikea should stop advertising this particular model as having a 10 year warranty as it's clearly misleading.
"All kitchen mixertaps, except LAGAN kitchen mixer tap, have a 10-year guarantee and all IKEA appliances have a 2-year guarantee. "
I'm sure push comes to shove they will fold because it's advertised as such, but it be will a hassle to claim in year 9.
I'd recommend to buy the $50 one.
I bought the Ikea one that has the mixer situated at the end of the spout.. It's fantastic.. Omg you can control hot cold and flow, and spout position with one movement of one hand…also it's high so no worries getting a big pan under it. Also, because it's part of the spout.. Less to clean and easier to clean.
Best thing I've ever bought.
Was $150 on special from 200. 10 year warranty
per JB1's comments, that one not covered by 10yrs.
This guarantee applies to domestic use only and is valid for all kitchen mixer taps at IKEA, except LAGAN kitchen mixer tap. This guarantee covers defects in material and workmanship. This guarantee does not apply if the products have been used in a corrosive environment.

You're correct.
I think it's very misleading.
Ikea have a good range. Did a complete makeover of my kitchen sink and got a mixer tap with a retractable hose. Still chuffed with that last choice.
I prefer to get something with a reputable brand. At least then there is a chance of getting a cartridge i the future. I bought a cheap bunnings one and had to replace it after about 18months becuase it was too difficult getting the cartridge. Got a Caroma for not a lot more $ and had the cartridge replaced (self fitted) during the 10yr warranty.
thz a lot guys…that was really good info to go with. I appreciate the time all of you take to post info which help each other.
I bought a mixer tap from https://www.factoryfast.com.au/c/taps-mixers-faucets not as cheap as others have mentioned but reasonably good quality, still going strong after 4 years
I bought all my taps incl mixer taps and kitchen sink from Graysonline. They've all lasted very well.
Bunnings? Since no more masters :)
