Might be worth the time if it were a Gold Bottle Cap.
You can only use this item on a level 100 Pokemon. Pretty tough to do in Sun/Moon, unless you have Pokemon already that level in Pokemon Bank.
Hard to level is it? I haven't played the game for awhile I only did enough to get the Snorlax.
There's no real way to level outside of endlessly beating level ~50 wild Pokemon or running through the Elite Four over and over again.
Same, the elite 4 is such a grind, bonus is if you equip an amulet coin you'll gain millions and millions before they're lvl 100
Normal Bottle Cap is useful for Pokemon that you want to have 0 attack/speed for competitive battle, since Gold max all the IV.

Meh. Pokemon is the same game since Blue/Red with no innovation. Just grind. Surprised people still play it religiously.
Does this change a Pokemons IV?
It max it to 31. Only for battle and cosmetic purposes. Doesn't affect breeding.

Just picked up two from an EB, staff member said she is pretty sure you can claim two per game.
Not sure if she was just trying to get rid of them or if they work. Someone might want to try and test it out^^ ( I don't currently have the game :( )
