    Thanks! Worked a treat!

Thanks. You don't need a proxy/vpn to play

  • What is it?

    • Allows you to listen to music by initially pretending you are in the US.

    • +4

Alternative to apple music, Spotify, google music etc

  • +1

Anyone know a decent proxy? Can't seem to get it working..

    • +1

      BetterNet.co

      There's a free trial for 7 days

Used BetterNet.co - worked flawlessly on Android. Thanks bomb3rman :)

        • -1

The Opera browser has a built in VPN

  • Thanks :)

  • JayZ has 99 problems but you not using Tidal is not one of them.

    • +3

no, but Tidals lack of subscribers, large debt and inability to pay their bills is :)

      • :P

      • Jay Z has a networth of 700 million dollars mate…

        • and made a very poor investment in Tidal ;)

        • @SBOB:

          • Jay Z bought it for 50 million 2 and a half years ago
          • On Jan 23rd Sprint mobile in the US bought a 33% of the company for 200 million dollars

How has Jay Z lost money bruh?

  • Thanks OP! From sign up to casting took about 3 minutes. http://imgur.com/a/IwO7I

  • I have to still use Spotify since i can get unmetered streaming. Good to have tidal though for some of its exclusives

  • Cheers, Apple Music from Telstra just expired for me :)

You will be able to use Hifi (16/44.1 lossless)

… and you ears will not be able to discern any difference if it's any higher due to the physical impossibility thing.

    • +2

Well, if you have a proper stereo system and ditto speakers, I can certainly hear the difference between CD quality and an average MP3 rip (and I'm not quite the audiophile). 16/44.1 'Lossless' is pretty much what you get on a CD right? Isn't it a fact that CD quality is better than AAC/MP3 compressed files?

      • +1

Both you and the they guy you replied to are correct. AAC and MP3 are generally inferior to CD quality (16/44.1 lossless), but in typical usage scenarios (cheap earphones in an environment with a decent amount of ambient noise) you won't be able to tell the difference between it and a well encoded AAC/MP3 file like the ones on iTunes/Spotify on the higher quality settings. In near perfect scenarios (high end speakers/headphones with no ambient noise), a small difference between AAC/MP3 and CD quality is discernible, but not between CD quality and higher than CD quality, commonly referred to as high resolution audio.

  • It's asking me for credit card details. I can't get past this screen.

    • You're not following the instructions correctly. Start again.

      • +2

That you are correct. I was incorrect. Thank you. Up and running now.

DOES ANYONE HAVE A US PROXY THAT WORKS!!!!!

    • +9

Yes and apparently everyone, with the exception of you, also has capslock key that works too.

    • If you're using Chrome Browser try using a free VPN extension from the Chrome Store. Delete it afterwards, their privacy policies are questionable at best.

  • Nice, thanks :)

  • +1

    Works with Getflix.

  • Are you required to use a US VPN or proxy while listening with your registered account?

    • +1

      No

  • Is Tidal any good? How does it stack up against Apple Music / Spotify etc etc?

  • Thanks OP, was just about to sign up to Apple Music.
This will tie me over for 6 months!

  • +3

didn't work for me - tried 2 different VPNs in 2 different US locations, code invalid.

  • +1

Looks like they disabled the voucher.

  • Anybody still able to get it to work? Having no luck with a PIA vpn

    • Not working for me either on PIA vpn. For some strange reason the screen to apply a voucher is in French.

      • whilst Donald was building his wall down south, the Froggy Canucks annexed NY, Chicago & Seattle.

  • Signed up, the iPhone app is lovely and works no problems!

    • What VPN did you use and how long ago did you sign up?

      • Used Hotspot Shield extension on Chrome and I signed up 5 minutes after the deal was posted.
I guess it is too late now after reading the comments.

  • Does anyone has then same issue as me that the buffering is very slow on optus 4g network?

  • it's ended :-(

  • +1

    invalid code

  • I got in just in time. I signed up even though I get free spotify streaming on Optus…. It's the ozbargain way!

I've got some decent speakers and couldn't really tell the difference began tidal lossless and the extreme spotify setting. May be easier to tell the difference with a good set of cans.

  • +1

    Missed out. Invalid code also

  • Dam, was going to sign up today. I bet they will do this again shortly because Jay Z

  • Thanks OP! Great to be able to stream FLAC!
