    Harry sold his practice?

    • +3

      No, Harry is still practicing.

You keep up to date with the latest cultural references I see (Australian TV show, 1997 – 2003)

  • the peanut butter is amazing. has anyone tried the coffee - is it very strong or weak and creamy?

  • Seems like they have ended Woolies housebrand premium ice creams. This might be the replacement?

    • It's been around for a little while at least, was half price September last year in this deal.

    • I just got some of the woolies premium vanilla (needed it for the blueberry pancakes for breakfast) its not bad for the money, but not as nice as Connoisseur when that is on special , will try the harrys ….

      • I'm partial to Coles brand Double Chocolate.

        • +1

I actually quite like Coles vanilla bean ice cream, great for whenever Connoisseur isn't on sale.

  • Never seen this in SA. Mind you, I don't keep up with these things.

    • I got it last time from SA Woolworths so it should be there, if you login online and set your store you should see the products which are available there.

    • Foodland has it. Your icecream obersvation skills need some work.

How does Harry's compare to OzBargain's favourite; Connoisseur?

    • Yeah, I am interested to find to.

    • +2

I am interested too. Bear in mind this is <500ml, so already more expensive than Connoisseur 1L (if comparing both on special). So hopefully, it is as good if not better?

    • +2

Harry's is better than Connoisseur imo.
Try the triple choc brownie it's the best one.

    • Maybe one day we will have taste tuning mechanic so we can get that perfect taste we can rave about.

  • +5

Sticky Date Pudding is disgusting! Everyone stay away from it.

    Welllll away from it.

    *begins hoarding it*

Harry's isn't as smooth as connoisseur. Don't think the flavours are as good either. Have tried the peanut fudge, salted caramel and vanilla. All not as good.

They are closer to Ben and jerry's in texture and taste.

Wait, but Ben and Jerry's are the most expensive (hence why I haven't really try them yet.) So by your account, I am not missing much, for not having tried Ben and Jerry's; which is great! :-)

        Yep!

I think the ice cream base is decent, but not really $12 per 450mL decent. Some of their concoctions may just hit the spot, so they're worth trying (or perhaps avoiding…). Strawberry Cheesecake is my favourite.

        • The Rrp is $4.99 for 475ml at Woolworths who are you paying $12! Haha

        • The B&J are $12.

        • @gambit_asdf: my mistake thought you were talking about the Harry's ice cream

  • I love the Peanut Butter Fudge, Pavlova, Sticky Date, but my local only stocks Coffee and Fudge Brownie. Town Hall not much better. Online selection atm woeful. Can anyone recommend a Sydney Metro store with a good selection?

    • Leichhardt Marketplace had brownie, peanut butter, salted caramel, coffee and vanilla popcorn when I was there today.

  • +1

Got the last of the Peanut butter and brownie at neutral bay.
They're all icy throughout and I'm sad.

    • +1

Same here…I bought two tubs and both have an icy texture :(

      • +1

Going to email them I think. Fancy ice cream is a luxury I rarely indulge in so it's a bit of a bummer.

  • Just bought 2 tubs, the peanut butter and the choc brownie. Very disappointed, this is definitely NOT premium ice cream. The texture is very icy and the flavours taste very artificial. Seriously considering returning these for a refund. Don't waste your hard earned on this crap. You have been warned.

  • I agree. They are not premium in any way, mine wasn't icy but airy and soft. I like the dense ice cream of old like Homer Hudson but his is just sugary, cheap crap.
