HowAboutEat (SYD ONLY) - $10 off Lunch + $1 Delivery ($10 Credit through Referral Link) [Businesses Only]

50

First time poster here :)

Just found out about this HowAboutEat deal and doesn't look like it's been posted yet so thought I'd share as who doesn't love an (almost) free lunch!

How does HowAboutEat work?
10am: We send you a message with the lunch of the day via text, email or Facebook Messenger.
10am-11:15am: Reply with "YES" if you'd like to order. Make sure to order before 11:15am!
12pm-12:30pm: We drop off the lunch at the delivery location in your office and notify you that lunch is delivered and ready to be picked up.

When and where is my lunch delivered?
We deliver lunch to your company’s reception every day between 12pm and 12.30pm. You will receive a message to confirm that your meal has arrived. All food to be delivered to your company will be left in our green HowAboutEat bag so that, if you are in a meeting or are busy when food arrives, it will stay warm.

Where is the menu?
Unlike a traditional food delivery website, we offer a different tasty dish every day from the best local restaurants and, if you like it, you can order it but just replying "YES" to our daily message. This is our way to make super easy and convenient for you to order lunch when you are busy at work!

  • This is the menu I got sent earlier this week incase you are interested to see what kind of food they offer:
Mon: Pork Fried Noodles - Lok Lok
Tues: Beef Naked Burrito - Mad Mex
Wed: Greek Lamb Kebab - Ali Baba
Thurs: Almighty Beef & Bacon Burger - Grill'd
Fri: Wagyu & Cheddar Hot Dog - Snag Stand

MOD: Referral wiki removed. Use randomised referral instead.

Sign up through a referral link and receive $10 credit towards your next lunch. Refer your friends/colleagues and you both get $10 credit!

Please note that this is only available for Sydney businesses, however some places may not be on their delivery map yet.

  • You must be new here - can't post referral links as deals! :)

    • ahh :( i'm clearly new haha.. if anyone knows how to delete a deal, please let me know!!!
Edit - nevermind, I've sent a report to get it deleted.

      • Your deal is completely fine, linked to the referral wiki only as you have done, no need to remove. Guidelines.

== Deals where the referral system is the offer ===

        • You may post a deal that is for the retailer's referral system, under the basis the referee also earns credit and it has not been posted previously (unless it is a temporary offer that had previously expired) or is already included in the [[https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:referral_links|OzBargain referral]] system.
        • My bad- but what's the deal then? Isn't the deal the $10 off via referral and other than that the post is just informing us of HowAboutEat which is at its normal price? Or am I missing something?

        • @djthornton:

The referral system is the offer ($10 for referrer and referee). It is permissible as long as the referee also earns credit (not just the referrer) and it's not already in the OzBargain referral system or been posted before (unless it's a temporary offer that expired). You can also not place your own referral link at the end of the deal for deals where the referral system is the offer (OP couldn't do that anyway as they are L plate poster), wiki link only.

        • @hamza23: right, just asking because I posted a referral related deal very similar to this a couple months back and it instantly got taken down- I must have done something I shouldn't have!

        • @djthornton:

That referral offer was already in the OzBargain referral system therefore it can't be posted as mentioned in those quoted/linked guidelines. You also can't post your own referral code/link as mentioned regardless.

Feel free to contact us via TWAM in future for any clarification, the referral guidelines are quite complex and covers a lot of scenarios.

        • @hamza23: Will do - Cheers!

  • OP have you used them before? I believe they need you to get 10 people sign up from your office before they can offer you this promotion.

    • Hi, I haven't used it yet as I only just found out about it from a friend earlier this week but it doesn't seem to mention that you need 10 people to sign up anywhere in the FAQ or terms of use. I think they will deliver to you so long as your company shows up on their list when signing up?

    • I read a comment from someone on their FB page that said they could not use the company due to their workplace having less than 10 workers.
