100 Freebies Every Hour - $1 Shipping - Catch of The Day [Expired]

646

Get in today from 4pm on COTD freebie giveaways within their July Catchathon items - On the front COTD home page amongst the current Catachathon items COTD are placing & giving away 100 free items per hour at 4pm, 5pm & 6pm. The freebie will show up somewhere in the front page, and the first 100 folks to find it will get it for free – just pay $1 shipping!

Update: The next giveaway on COTD will be at 8pm - this time they are making it a little more difficult - quote"it'll be hidden in one of our 300 or so Catchathon products, so you'll have to do a little more hunting this time! "

NB: your selected item is not 'reserved' until you finalise the purchase!

TIP!: To Speed UP Your purchase: keep refreshing cotd page 1 2 mins before 6 PM 7 PM and 8 PM. Then do a Search 'Ctrl + F' for 0.0 > that auto selects the freebie in the page > Select/click the item > it will open a new page > then buy from there. Do not click Bite Me from the main page. It is very slow and has error.

To speed-up checkout - have your details, CC number,CC name etc typed in open Notepad, so you can copy paste into the page

“Pay with paypal” sometime causes problems for some!

  • Thanks to Greenzeto for the Tip!! -

Edit2: They have decided to have another giveaway at 8pm - (not 7pm (as they claim to be having a bite to eat!)

Edit: Apparently it will be extended (7pm, 8pm etc) if they decide enough positive feedback & people have 'liked' this offer as it appears on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/CatchAustralia

methinks hopefully it'll continue regardless ;-)

    • all im saying is… those products suit your name :D

  • +2

Place your bets… I think they would be looking hard for opportunities to get rid of those Deal or No Deal drink coasters, er DVD games that show up regularly ;-)

  • it is 5 Pm guys

  • +1

    Digital photo keyring
    http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/smallfish_info.php?products_…

  • :( that sucks!

Website was slow and I was unable to get the key chain! -_-

I had it in my checkout too! Grrr!

  • yea.. in 2 mins 10 secs

  • Well the cheapest on eBay for this novelty is around $6 AUD.
It's still a bargain but not a freebie as they claim.

  • +2

this is the tip: keep refreshing ur page 1 2 mins before 6 PM 7 PM and 8 PM. Then do a search Ctrl + F for 0.0 then, select the item > it will open a new page > then buy from there. Do not click Bite Me from the main page. It is very slow and has error. I got error as well when i selected "Pay with paypal"

  • key chains sold out!
I always wanted one of those for cheap!

  • Hate it when an item is stolen from your cart. Imagine if that happened in the real world! They should let you complete the transaction within a couple of mins at least before releasing it :-(

    • +1

I agree! You should be given a couple of mins, at least one minute to complete your transaction! Make it fair for those who are slower on the computer, or have a slow computer!

And if someone stole something from my cart in the real world, I would have some nice colourful language for them! =]

  • +1

they should give like 30-45 secs to complete ur transaction

  • Second item.. hmm.. at least this time it wasn't a page time out error, got your old regular sold out error, in the last stage of payment..
If your after one of those photo keyrings, just go to dealextreme, or target for $9.99 :)

Wont be back for the next, not worth the effort, besides gotta get the kids to bed..

Have fun people, or not.. which is probably more likely if this keeps going ;) , at least the last treasure hunt had some great deals ..

  • +1

hey when the free items happen at 6 can someone kindly post up the link on ozbargain plz

    • +1

Mandyma89, you only have a couple of minutes before they are all gone.. Use Greenzeto's tips above!

  • no paypal :( - not working..

  • +3

Guys i seriously dont think they even have a 100 items every hour. I think theres more like 10 or 20 of these.

    • If they put up the Deal or No Deal DVDs I bet they have 1,000+ (and probably still wont sell out) ;-)

  • how do you find the freebie? do you just keep clicking on all different items and it will pop up

    • +1

Just look for the item on the front page with a cost of $0.00. You may have to refresh the page.

  • Going through the Paypal option can you pay subsequently via credit card or would it be just as slow as using CC direct on the the CoTD site (and just as likey to lose the item in my cart)?

  • +1

this is the tip: keep refreshing ur page 1 2 mins before 6 PM 7 PM and 8 PM. Then do a search Ctrl + F for 0.0 then, select the item > it will open a new page > then buy from there. Do not click Bite Me from the main page. It is very slow and has error. I got error as well when i selected “Pay with paypal”

    try that Mandy.

  • oh i get it now thanks greenzeto

  • +2

that is why get ur credit card ready.

Type what ever information on a notepad. Do this.

    1. Click Start > Run > type: Notepad
    2. On that notepad: type in your credit card details like ur CC number and CC name
    3. Then, once u r on the check out page > just copy n paste. It may save like 3-5 secs :D

If u r using paypal (if it works), then do the same thing. Type ur email and password on that notepad. Then do copy and paste.

    Good luck

    • +1

yep, do this, or the slightly more secure method, save in keepass. (free/opensource)

      • bur r u sure u guys really have 100 items?

        • 100 is a pretty small stock level to hold

      • I don't see how using keypass would be more secure than notepad.

        • +1

use anything bro. That is just the theory. In the real world, u dun even have that 3-5 secs to copy n paste… :P

  • Yeah got error on paypal

  • what time zone is it?!!? omg
