Looking for a Venue/Hall near to BEACH in MELBOURNE for a Birthday Party for about 40 People

Hi OZBs,

Don't know if this is the right forum…
I am looking for a Venue/Hall near to BEACH in MELBOURNE for a Birthday Party for about 40 people on a Sunday afternoon.
Looking for a reasonable place probably something like a hall from councils or surf clubs facing the beach.

Any one if had some experience or can recommend any pointers. Planning to get the catering and drinks from outside.
Also would be good if they allow us to get our own DJ.

    Try Carrum Surf Lifesaving Club. http://www.carrumslsc.com

    The beach is quite nice, decent parking and just across from Carrum station if u need public transport.

    Take note of their age limits though ( I think you might find similar for most sailing or surf lifesaving clubs) .

    We have also had the use of Elwood sailing club but I think they would probably be more expensive.

    I don't know anything specific, but usually bowls clubs are cheap. I'm sure there would be something near the beach if you pull out a melways.

    Ones I've used (not near beach) have let us bring catering (kitchen providdd) and drinks from outside (but have charged a "per drink" fee as they provided the drink server). The caterer provided the food service.
