I lived 50 metres away from the Coburg Velodrome when I was a child! You could just open the gate and use it with your BMX/Mountain Bike, they had weekend Petrol Powered Remote Control races on the 1st of every month… good times.

    • Will the tickets work for those that grabbed them ?

It's a great way to promote this (I had never heard of it), and will likely buy some drinks on the night :-)

      • I don't think there would be a lot judging from the numbers ob this post but I can't see them not honoring it. They won't be able to tell at the door anyway who legitimately received it and who didn't.

        • Do the the tickets come with a number, barcode or any other identifier?

It'd take some effort but it shouldn't be hard, sounds like it's a matter of cancelling the tickets checked out using the code, and posting a notice to halt those particular identifiers at the door.

Then follow up second email informing of those who checked out using the code that it's been cancelled/invalidated due to a leak and instead issue a unique, once off promo code to valid winners again

        • @loke:

Yes it has a number but they have no way of accurately knowing who used it legitimately and who didn't. Too much effort involved and the risk of frustrating the legitimate recipients. They won't do it. Judging from the +votes I'd say only a handful got the tix and some of whom wouldn't even show up so I doubt it's a big issue.

  • I'm in!!

    • So am I but somehow i misread this as being a drive in. Stupid me.
