Vodafone is hopeless for porting out, never process the port after business hours while the other two do most of the time.

I tried to use couple of free deals at sevs and the sim wouldn't scan through properly. Instead if honoring the attendant just said sorry doesn't work even though valid code using app.
Try another store, I get this sometimes, they say their scanner is 'broken'.
I do the GoodCall surveys and every month they offer free stuff but last few months I always get code invalid, sometimes the checkout guy just puts it though but sometimes they don't. Complained to 7-11 and only got a generic answer.
I had trouble with the Optus SIM in the past. Just grabbed a Vodafone SIM for free without any hassles.
