Looking for Refurbished iPhone 6S. NDBD Any Good?

I've been looking for a refurbished iPhones. I've had a terrible experience with EBGames when they sent me an iPhone 5 that looked crap. (dents and scratched everywhere, disgusting dust/crap blocking the speaker grill, etc)

I did a quick google search and this company popped up. https://au.nd-bd.com/

I asked them if they replace the damaged external components with genuine parts to make it look new but they just gave me generic answers back. I searched for any customer review but couldnt find one.

What do you think about ND-BD? Any good?
if not, know any good refurbished seller. I want the phone to look as new as possible.

UPDATE: They have given me a different answer this time. Quote: It is a device in 'as new' condition and professionally refurbished.

  • I would not go for a iPhone 6s refurbished by third party as it would void the Apple warranty. A used 6s would still be under Apple warranty any would be a better buy.

They didn't really answer you and there's no reviews. Just stay clear then.

  • Hey EnterTheShiftKey, just wondering if you decided to purchase your iphone through NDBD? I am in the process of looking to buy one for myself

Well.. Im gonna link you to the post I've made about their customer service HERE.

UPDATE: I ordered my phone on 7th of Feb. During that period, I was told to change my order to 64gb model due to low stock. Today, I received an email from them. After telling me the expected shipping date was this week, They told me the order was delayed AGAIN. So I have contacted them for refund.

So sadly, I wasn't able to check the product quality but I think it's safe to say that their stock management is horrible.

I personally won't recommend it at the moment but it's really up to you. They are still the cheapest provider for grade A refurb iphones.

Edit 1: During the chat for the refund, this is what they said about the stocks.

EnterTheShiftKey (15:00:59): Also, would it be possible to send me a notification email of some sort if you have the iPhone 6s silver 128gb back in stock?
      EnterTheShiftKey (15:01:10): or iphone 7
Clarissa - OA (15:05:15): Sure, we'll take note of that. Currently, as per the Purchase Team, the stocks will arrive in 1 week.

  • Have you received your phone yet or did they refund you in full?

    • +1

Got the refund. Too bad it didn't work out.

  • Just reading your posts makes me annoyed by this company.

I purchased a Iphone 6 from these guys and it was faulty on arrival so as per their website I recorded it DOA (-which means dead on arrival)the same day.

I asked for a refund as the build quality was poor and the headphones are fake.

Their customer service via email is terrible,we keep on getting the same response- simply reset the phone etc etc etc but as I have told them 6 times now-this will not work if the screen is loose and the microphone is broken !

Don't buy from these guys -the phones are grade f or below…..

Their phone lines don't work in Australia and the NZ version takes 2 hours to get through to someone who again tells me how to reset the phone.

Finally 1 month later they want me to send the phone back to them to check before sending to Hong Kong for someone else to check- cant be bothered so I'm getting it fixed here and will pay myself.

  • I have booked the phone 6s plus at a price of AEd 639. I am still waiting for the phone and i just got a message that my order has been processed. But after no response. Not sure if it is genuine . Will have to wait.

    • Should just pay the bit extra for brand new from Mobileciti.

  • I never planned to talk about NDBD but it seems like people still read and comment on my old posts so I think I need to update you all on some information.

Firstly, please read my two previous posts including comments where I left couple updates, etc.

    First Post, Second Post

(Short summary of 2 posts: Ordered from them, they made stupid mistakes and had terrible service so I cancelled order and received refund)
If u finished reading, I'll tell you what happened next.

One of my post mentions that when I asked for a refund, I asked the live chatter if I could receive an update email of some sort if they had the phone in stock. That email NEVER ARRIVED.. Quality service. anyways

I've been getting new comments once a week or so and I started to notice something. Every positive commenters created their account at max 1 week prior to commenting and they all comment only on MY NDBD posts.
I noticed this 2 weeks ago and I commented with an update for those who still read the post to be cautious. I started to wonder whether NDBD hired people to post positive things about the site.

Couple days ago, on my 2nd post, a comment was unpublished with the bracket (spamming). So I immediately contacted Ozbargain and told the story and they kindly let me see the unpublished comment and here it is.

    Hello from Spain.
Three weeks ago I bought an Iphone through ND-BD web page. They were delaying my order week after week, but being honest they were informed me on time about my order.
Unfortunally I couldn´t wait longer for my order, so finally I canceled it.
I asked them for my 249€ and after two working days I had my 249€ in my bank account.
They look a littel new in this on-line business, but, ¡¡¡¡I´m sure it is not a scam web page, sure!!!!
By the way, they answered my e-mails really quick.
Greetings from The other part of the world.
    Raul.

Now I don't know why it was classified as spam, but I can safely confirm that this comment is BS. As someone who REGULARLY SENT EMAILS TO NDBD, it takes them couple days to respond (even a full week) and they even IGNORED emails I sent. Yes, they did give me a full refund so that part is somewhat true.

And I'll admit that there is a possibility that these people were EXTREMELY SATISFIED and made an account JUST TO COMMENT on the negative OZBARGAIN post. But I doubt it.

I really hope this is the end of my relationship(?) with NDBD because to me, it's nothing more than an embarrassing story of how naïve I was.

(sorry if the post seems to have grammar errors, etc. Wrote it at night after receiving another comment saying that he experienced similar things.)

  • PLEASE READ THE POST AND ALL THE COMMENTS ABOVE. IM NOT GONNA UPDATE THIS STORY ANY FURTHER. THANKS

  • Total scam of a company and their customer service is even worse. Product sent are faulty and worthy of the bin. Take my advice and steer clear of them. You will be lucky to receive a refund and it will take you months.

  • DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I ordered a refurbished phone. It was DOA. I had to send them pics of everything including a vid which was fine. Sent it back via tracking. Got emails from different people obviously not coresponding within the company. Ended up ringing, it said I was next in line 50min later a auto message comes in and says I rang outside hours it was lunchtime. Ended up contacting them via chat. She said it was on route to warehouse! Next day got an email saying it was being sent to Hong Kong to check it was DOA!! Obviously they are too stupid to open and check it here in Australia where I sent it. So Far it's been a month. No phone or refund. Absolutely Furious

  • Don't walk…run. Run away from NDBD.

This is the first time I have every posted a review about any company. I was compelled to do so having been subjected to the most horrible, time-consuming, frustrating online shopping experience I have ever had.

The refurbished phone NDBD initially sent to me was locked to the previous owner’s apple ID, so it was essentially a brick as I couldn’t get past the activation step in the phone set up. Short story, it took NDBD about 2.5 months to get a replacement to me, and that is only because I pushed hard for it. If I left it to them to organise, it probably would have taken much, much longer.

Long story…..Their customer service is inept. Their systems used to track and record customer complaints, emails, phone calls, messages are not linked; every time I spoke with someone I had to tell the entire story from the very beginning as they didn’t have any notes/history on the issue. I was caught in a loop answering identical questions asked by different NDBD people.
You will only receive generic responses from written complaints (email, online message, online feedback form). If you phone them you will have to wait at least 40 minutes before you are connected to anyone, and at times they will simply hang up without answering, or answer and then tell you that they can’t hear you and then hang up.

Here’s an extremely short version of same conversation I had with more than 3 different people in their customer service department:
    NDBD: “what’s the issue?”
Me: “the refurbished phone you sent me is locked to the previous owner and I cannot start the device due to apple activation lock”
NDBD: “please send photos of the phone”
    Me: (supplied photos requested)
NDBD: “please send additional photos we didn’t ask you to send the first time”
    Me: (supplied additional photos requested)
NDBD: “please send IMEI and serial number”
    Me: (supplied additional information)
NDBD: “return has been approved. Please confirm “Find my iphone” is disabled before you send it back to us”
Me: “I can’t check if “Find my iphone” is disabled as I cannot start the device as it is locked to the previous owner”
NDBD: “You must confirm “Find my iphone” is disabled before you send it back or we will not replace the phone”

Eventually I as able to speak to a manager in customer service (had to phone them, of course as they will never phone you) and the manager stated they would personally take care of the issue. I got a nice email from them and then radio silence again for two weeks. When I phoned NDBD again to find out why this manager had not helped me despite telling me they would personally take care of the issue, I was informed that particular person had gone on annual leave…Sigh….eventually they returned from holiday and only then authorised the replacement. However when NDBD received the locked phone, I received a message saying “The phone is locked and you didn’t turn off “Find my iphone” so we cannot replace the phone”. Again….sigh….

Anyway….eventually I got what I paid for, but as I stated already it took 2.5 months and I had to badger them with phone calls (twice a week for the last month), waiting 40mins each time to be connected.

Don’t walk…run. Run away from NDBD. As fast as you can.

  • DONT GO NEAR THESE GUYS. I used NDBD to buy a refurbished iPhone SE. What a mistake I made! Basically, if you ever need to fall back on their warranty, and in my case it was the DOA 14 day "Express" return, the service people basically ignore you and make it AS HARD AS POSSIBLE for you to get an exchange unit or your money back. Their trick is that the complainant does not have an address for which to return the phone. When you contact their customer service to request a postal address, they request photos, then videos, then more videos, then …. silence. Phoneing them is always a challenge. Dealing with NDBD has been one of the worst customer experiences of my life. Never again.

  • DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
I did, they sent me a phone that did not work. After two months of poor communication where I repeatedly provided them photos and videos and barcode numbers they still refuse to acknowledge the phone is broken, and refuse to provide a replacement or a refund. Their strategy is to sell you a poor quality phone and then wait until you give up and go away. They are absolutely shameless and shocking. You might as well take the money you would pay them and set fire to it: you will be no worse off, and it will be a quicker and less frustrating way to lose your money.

  • The guys that are running this company are the same guys behind Android Enjoyed, CameraSky, Klukker, ONEdigitals and Galaxy eSolutions, many of the aforementioned companies seemed to have taken a lot of consumer money and run, I noticed a lot of people having massive problems with these guys as have I, so I did some digging and got the following contact information about the company, not sure if its all still current but hope it helps

The actual trading company for Android Enjoyed, CameraSky, ONEdigitals and Klukker is Milkyway Distribution Ltd which was under the Dogma Enterprise Limited brands umbrella, Milkyway Distributions contact details are http://milkyway-distribution.com/ their address is 9/F., Block AB, Ka Ming Court, 688-690 Castle Peak Road, Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon, Hong Kong and email comtact is [email protected], the senior managers and primary owners of the company are:

Sze Lok (Joe) Chan, +61413 961 171 or +852 6408 1777 or +852 8171 4255 or linkedin.com/in/garciamoonshine or [email protected] or Flat F, 8/F, Block 3 Rhythm Garden, 242 Woon Choi Road, San Po Kong, Hong Kong
Ching Man Fong +852 9876 8732 or linkedin.com/in/man-fong-14909287 or Room 1803 Fook Wai House, Sun Tin Wai Est, Hong Kong
Yeun Wong +61468 919 741 or +852 9650 9520 or +852 3468 6424 or linkedin.com/in/yuen-wong-073bb541 or [email protected] or 2H, Tower 8 South Horizons, Hong Kong. He seems to of started a new business call Galaxy eSolutions Ltd which is likely where some of the money people have been scammed out of has gone, as well as Milkyway Distribution stocks and repairs, I hope everyone got their repairs back, it also appears hes taken Joe Chan with him on this verture.

Of course you should also make a complaint to the Hong Kong consumer council here https://www.consumer.org.hk/ws_en/complaints_and_advices/how… they are just like fair trading and will help you get your money back and put pressure on the companies Hong Kong opperation, maybe even shut them down and pursue the directors of the company directly as well.
