  Was waiting for another Nikon 3400 but looks like i will have to settle it for "Canon EOS 1300D with 18-55mm Lens Kit $338" Is it worth waiting 2~3weeks more in hope of Nikon D3400 deal or should I just go for 1300D now?

    My experience is Nikon entry level is much better than Canon, the 3k series is somehow more comparable to the 6-7xx Canon one, so unless you have existing Canon lenses, go for nikon

      I concur. Better autofocus and better sensor. The Canon 1x00 are really basic.

    I got my D3400 for $444 and a $100 jb voucher. So technically $344. Hope this helps with your decision in anyway.

I have an old model Sony Bravia TV so not really gaining anything by having a particular brand. What's important to me is hdmi now that Apple TV does not have optical audio.

        I'm in a similar position. I was thinking about whether to buy the Sony HTCT790 soundbar when it went on special last time (for $400). I've been looking out for it for a while but I think that was a clearance price. The retailers don't seem to stock it anymore!

        The reviews for the Samsung HW-K550 look pretty good on Amazon and on the forums. Going to head to Harvey Norman tomorrow to see if I can test it. It seems like a pretty good deal given that it's quite a bit cheaper according to staticice.

  Thanks for posting this TRENT86 I'd bought the ALDI soundbar 2 weeks ago and it malfunctioned after 24 hours I took it back
  having used it for one day was long enough to realise my 40 inch TV needed a soundbar the voices a little better but music 10X better
  and this was nearly $200 cheaper than TGG price ooh I also got the emtec 64 GB USB …….THANKS…. SALE price ends tonight

  I bought the soundbar yesterday. Tried price matching at JB first (all local TGG out of stock) but it was way below their cost ($460 I was told). HN would have been getting some sort of rebate from Samsung for such a low price.

  Hopefully never have to deal with them (HN) again. The deal was just too good.
