Valley HMSC-20 Geology Rock Hammer - $49.94 + Post

90
ozbargain_valley

These are great hammers for those starting out. They are well priced and are of solid quality. The head is larger than the Estwings so it's safer in the sense that there is less chance of chipping the rock you are hitting, but it also allows the head to last longer. The handle and head are made of drop forged steel and the grip is cushioned for comfort. It is a similar weight to the Estwing E3-22P and a direct competitor on quality.

Shipping is via Aus Post/Courier (depending on where you live). Will honour all orders until 31st July when coupon expires. If I run out, there may be a weeks delay to fulfil stock.

This item usually sells for $69.95 + Post.

Once again, if you see a product in our niche you want stocked, post here and we will try to stock it for you. We will have more Rite in the Rain notebooks soon.

  • I'll give you a + because it seems to be a bargain, but I doubt this will have much appeal to the majority of ozbargainers, nice to see people daring to put niche products on here though :)

  • +1 from me because it appears to be a bargain as said above but also because you obviously took a bit of time writing out the description which indicates some sincerity to me. I won't personally be buying one but as said above it's fantastic to see some variety on here from genuine reps, I hope this brings you some business. +1

  • Thanks freakyterrorist and Click_It, appreciate your kind comments. We had our first order through OzBargain today, so will definitely look to list some more deals with other products.

I can use this to carve away at my wall only to take the pieces of it out into the yard every day to drop them off as I walk around, eventually making a big enough hole to tunnel out and escape to Mexico after exposing all the shady dealings that have been going on in this place.

Getting tired of dealing with the Sisters in the back laundry room ay Timski? :p

    • You'd best be using the chisel version. After someone gave this suggestion last time, I actually tried it with the pointy ended hammer and it's a fair bit harder (well just slower) to chisel through cement render than the chisel one. Ideally you'd need a chisel ended hammer for the initial cement render, a pointy hammer for the cement in between the bricks and if you need any bricks broken, and lastly probably an actual chisel to drive into the cement between the bricks.

Of course I would advocate gloves and safety glasses so that you don't go blind in the process. Now, just enough room to stash your tools!

  • axe AND hammer. nice, +1.

  • Great for those starting out as?….. a serial killer?

If I were a geologicalista out in the boonies I'd be looking online for stuff, so great to see this here. Makes a change from the usual repetitive stuff.

    • Some of our orders come from places I have never even heard of….

Makes it very interesting when I put in their postcode for a courier quote!

  • can i use this to bust out of jail over a 20year period?

+1 for niche product. i've had enough of harddrives and fluidtec here.

    • Well, yes, but the flouro handle might be a problem. Makes it easier for the screws to spot it. I'd go for one with a cell coloured handle. Better yet, one with a detachable handle so it can be 'secreted' easier. Just don't bend over quickly with the head up there (but then, you don't bend over at all in the pokie do you?)

      • I did a special recently on the blue handle/pick end Estwing hammer, it camouflages quite well. Actually it camouflages so well, I encourage people to spray the handle fluoro yellow or orange to stop them losing it.
