Hi all,
Looking for some airtight food containers for storing protein powders and electrolyte powders. I'd say containers big enough to store 1kg of powder. Anyone know where to get them cheap?
Cheers,
PH

You mean the bags they come in (example)?
The round cylinder tubs. Those are resealable bags.
You can get Sistema airtight containers in Woolies.
I have a few of the tall Cereal ones, I wouldn't say they were completely air-tight, perhaps some of the other designs are better though.
For reference Sistema are an NZ brand and BPA free, would prefer to support local eg Decor but they don't seem to have the type I want…
Sistema are regularly discounted at Woolies at around 30-50 % off quite frequently
Lock n Lock are water tight and air tight
Can vouch for Lock n Lock.
You can immerse them closed under water and not even an air bubble would appear. That's my test for seal quality.
You can buy the systema from woolies and return it if can't pass this test, then head to a korean grocery store. As they often sell Lock n Lock
edited for typo error
Why can't you just keep them in the packaging they come in? (Not a troll. I'm being serious).
The protein powders aren't an issue; however, in its original packaging, the electrolyte powder clumps up after time due to the container not being airtight and watertight.
Chuck in an additional silica gel dessicant pack, or one of those oxygen absorbers commonly found in packs of mission wraps, does the trick to stop my powders from clumping :)
reuse old protein containers
