I bought bedroom furniture worth $2400 from a furniture showroom chain.
Paying $2400 which I believe is a huge amount, I expected it to be of good quality.
One of the side tables and the desser has the bottom floor protector missing for one of the legs. It is manageable with the side table. But the dresser also has a missing floor protector and has a nail exposed. The nail damaged my wooden flooring making a scratch when unpacking.
When I complained to the showroom they are saying they will send additional protectors in post but cannot repair my damaged flooring. Its not their responsiblity.
I need your suggestion if I go to department of fair trading, if it would be helpful to my case. I am in the view that it is the showroom's responsibility to fix the damage as I unpacked the furniture in the view that the furniture I bought would be of acceptable quality and safe to use.
Thanks.
Who actually did the damage? You or the guys who delivered it?
