How long should I wait for a bargain laptop price?

I have been looking to buy the lenovo s10-3t for a few months. I have noticed it drop from about $700 just before the 30th of June slowly until I noticed today its available for $569. The particular website says they have about 60 now, whereas they had 70 when I looked before EOFY. I am wondering if I should wait for the prices to get cheaper. Is this common with laptops that they go down slowly or are liquidated quickly and it might suddenly disappear?

  • I'd wait for the prices to fall. Generally speaking, technology can only get better and more efficient so there's something better around the corner.

  • The longer you wait the better

  • +1

prices always reduce over time, howeer if you're looking for a specific model in a short period of time then its less likely to happen

  • Why don't you buy this one?

The laptop you are looking for is currently on sale on pricesengine. Worth a look at.

    • I am actually looking for the tablet version. It has a touch and swivel screen. The model number is close.

      • omg…im on it right now. x200t or x61t. i have the new and old. BOTH were complete failures…

the x61 got replaced through house and content insurance. by then, there was no x61t so i got a x200t expecting much better.
i wish i could explain all the software AND hardware mishaps. THese include latches, palmboards, lcd screen (replaced twice), keyboard as they fall off and swivel. The pen also breaks almost instantly.

I wish lenovo would stop making such cheap parts in china…

        • ?? I thought they were a Chinese company Bob??
Anyway, rest assured that no matter what you get you will see better and cheaper after you buy one!!
I got a new lappy last Nov for an unbelievable price at the time and have kicked myself a dozen times since… DOH!!!
The best thing to do is not focus on the price so much and aim more for quality if your finances will allow it. They are cramming a lot of suff into those little boxes now and the build quality is nowhere near as sturdy with most of them.
Features are zilch if it is a heap of crap build wise.
