P&O Pacific Dawn 1/4/17 7 Night South Pacific Depart Brisbane $899 inside $944 outside Drinks Included @ OzCruising

120

Drinks package included. Slightly cheaper on http://www.cruiseagency.com.au/cruise-details/p-and-o/w715/0… but they don't mention drinks. Always make sure your quote includes the inclusions you expect. Sometimes not all categories have inclusions. Yes Celebrity, I'm looking at you.

I don't endorse this cruise line. It is not what I'd call luxury.

Drinks service in dining areas tends to be very sloooow. Load up before going in and order straight away.

  • Cruise Ship = Booze Ship

    • They are not all like P&O.

  • +1

The Gastro is also free on P&O

    • I'm not vouching for any cruise, but with free food, drink and more booze, not everyone's stomach can cope well, it's not always going to be hygiene issues so to speak

  • what drinks are included?

  • Drinks may not be included in above prices which are only for specific categories.

Note: "Promotional offers vary depending on category booked "

You've listed four deals in the past eight years.

Did you even read my admonition to check your quote. Troll.

Yes, I did actually. You said "drinks package included." Hence your description isn't accurate. And I was expanding on it to help others who may be interested in booking. Not what I'd call trolling.

It's actually more troll-worthy to try to attack a commenter for irrelevant things, but thanks for reviewing my history anyway! :-)

Sorry, but in no way is this a bargain for P&O. If anyone paid this at full price, they need there head read!!! Halve it and its a bargain, drink packages here nor there with any SMART person that goes on a cruise ship:) !!

    • Is there a website similar to "I Want That Flight" but for cruises instead ? Where does a SMART person go to to find the best cruise deals ?

Wife and I are thinking of going on our first cruise in mid/late April.. found plenty of websites in Google advertising cruises but trying to sort the great deals from the sales pitches.

We are on the Gold Coast so looked at P&O Pacific Aria (out of Brisbane) 7 nights starting 14 Apr, but inside prices were around $906ea (twin) a couple of days ago, now up to $949ea and no extras
We could choose another boat out of Sydney, but have to consider $500+ in flights/transport etc.

  • What's a good line for families? Not interested in booze and prefer a bit of comfort. As few bogans as possible. Lots of pacific destinations.

    • Probably Royal Carribean or Princess.

Boy that map has some artistic license to it.
Noumea is not at the same latitude as Brisbane, it's a little north of Rockhampton.
The island (New Caledonia) is a lot farther away. If you use the length on New Caledonia as a measure of distance, it's about four of those lengths away from Brisbane. Roughly half the distance to New Zealand, but in a different direction.

  • Slightly cheaper here:

They don't mention drinks, but there is a picture of a wine glass with "premium" so it might (I suspect this offer is from P&O rather than the agency anyway).
