In 2005, Wenger was acquired by Victorinox, but they decided to keep Wenger operating under it's own brand name

Noooo, you gave in and changed your name!!!!

    • I have been thinking about doing it for a while, nobody made me do it, haha.

      • suuuuuuuuuuuuure

      • +1

Certainly a more apt name give your post history. Now you need a new avatar to fit the new name!

        • I'll leave it for a while so you still know it's me.

        • +1

^ This name suits you more. Do you buy every watch you posted?

        • +1

@PW: Thanks, I think so. Haha, no way, some of them I don't even like but they are popular on here.

        • @WatchNerd:

          Good idea.

  • +2

In all seriousness though, thanks for all these watch deals.

This might be in order soon if you keep posting all these deals

  • Serious question, how do you deal with having too many automatics?
They run out of charge when cycling between the Eco drives and battery powered watches throughout the week…. which means you have to reset the time on the autos every time you wear them.

    • U can get auto watch winders
      http://www.jomashop.com/watch-winders.html

      • +1

Thanks for the link! Going to US in a few days so free shipping!

    • Get a watch box with winders.

      • I hear they damage the autos because they keep winding and winding to the max?

        • +2

Watch winders don't wind continuously, they are programmed to pause for a set time at fixed intervals.

OP - great deal for sapphire glass watches. Too bad I don't need any more beaters :(

        • @gadget: oh great thanks! Might get one that does that

        • @justcallmeboss: I don't mind mine stopping when I'm not wearing them, it doesn't take that long to set the time again, plus I enjoy playing with watches anyway.

    • I usually have two going at the same time (wear one at work and a different one at home or manual wind). A quick wind or shake and it only takes less than a minute.

  • Do these watches truly have sapphire? If it is, then its up there with the thousand dollar swiss watches.

    • These are cheapy quartz though and the finishing won't really be up there either. Sapphirre doesn't really cost the manufacturer much. But buyers expect it at a certain price. A handy bonus on a beater though I guess.

      • yeah sure. But its rare to see sapphire on any cheap watch.

Love to be proven wrong tho. If you guys seen any auto divers with sapphire that isnt a $1k plus swiss then I'm all ears.

        • Steinhart, squale, zodiac, oris and a tonne of micro brands. There are too many to list.

        • Thanks man. I only like Oris there otherwise looks like I'll stick with Omega.

        • @tonyjzx: which Omega? Wouldn't mind a Speedy or SMP, but I'm saving for a Tudor BB.

  • What price will the 9404SYB drop to at 1 pm?

Wow good memory, I'll find one I like eventually. What do you think?

I just found this 42mm Momentum at a great price, only 2 in stock

I have this watch on a SS bracelet and the picture doesn't do it justice, it has hacking & a screw down crown also.

    • +2

Wow, that's a nice momentum, haven't seen that one before. Sweet deal.

      • Someone bought one & now the price has jumped to $135.00 + $7.11 Shipping!!!

Reminds of when you bought your SKX009, haha.

  • WatchNerd, this 36mm seaforce looked a bit different to others (the date position) is it a authentic watch? Also, is it for women or men? Usually the men version has 43mm which looks awesome.

    • Amazon don't sell fakes and the title on Amazon says that it's a mens watch but it really doesn't matter, at that size either sex can wear it.
Mainly men with small wrists wear this size, it's a similar size to a lot of the Seiko 5 models like the 37mm Seiko 5 SNK in this post and they are classified as mens watches.

Although the fashion now is to go a bit bigger but each to their own.

      • They don't sell fake watches, but they sell fakes for sure, such as shoes. These are through third party sellers usually.

        • +1

That's news to me, thanks for the heads up.

      • Thanks for your response. But if you do the research, you will see that it looks a bit odd to see the date on 3 o'clock. The real one is located between 4 and 5 o'clock.

Also, I was hoping you agree that it is a lady size, it has 36mm and of course it will only look good on small men….it should be a women version because Wenger has men version with 43mm.

        Cheers

        • The real one is located between 4 and 5 o'clock.

My apologies, it's the first time out of the many watch deals I have posted that I have posted a fake.
Have you got a link to the real one please?

Also, I was hoping you agree that it is a lady size.

If you look back at my watch deals you will see that I usually remove any wording that states a watch is mens or ladies when it can be worn by both, it's not my job to tell you this.
I have mentioned the diameter 3 times so it's up to the individual to decide.

Hey Torres, it's not uncommon for manufacturers to move the date window to improve the balance of the the watch or if the date wheel interferes with an hour marker.

The trend for a while has been towards larger watches, but that seems to be reversing based on watch releases over the last couple of years. If you look at the most popular affordable luxury watches (Submariner, Speedy, Black Bay, Explorer to name a few) they are between 40mm and 42mmm. While 36mm is considered small these days for a man, Tudor has recently released the Tudor Black Bay 36mm which has been popular. Also, Europeans usually prefer smaller watches compared to North Americans. I couldn't wear a watch that small, but there are many guys with 6 inch wrists that wear these.

No-one would do a replica of a Wenger. They're just not popular or desirable enough. In fact most replicas sell for more than the price of the Wenger.

        • @WatchNerd:

Don't need to apologies :) thank you for response to my query.

As I said, I love Wenger's watch because it looks nice with reasonable price.

I only found a green colour one and it looks great.

          @ilikeit:

Thanks for your effort to answer my question and I agree with your logic :) have a nice day mate:)

        • @Torres: It looks like you have been researching the 43mm model, not the 36mm. Just because the larger model has the date window in a different location doesn't mean the smaller model is fake.
