Sony Bravia 75" X8500D 4K HDR LED TV $3549.99 @ Costco (Membership Required)

130

Cheapest I could find for this TV. Stock of 8-10 available in the Costco Adelaide store. Not as good as the boxing day sale but a good price as compared to retailers or online.

  • I just brought on of these direct from sony, paid $3696, but then got cashback with cash rewards and also free delivery when signing up to their site. I have to say this tv is awesome! Image is unbelievable, very happy with mine. They are the best tv under $5k at the moment

    • It goes with out saying… falking out thousands for a TV Id hope the image would be unbelievable. Not too many would spend 3 1/2 K on a telly and felt they just bought a piece of shite

Was $2999 6 weeks ago on BFS. Why $550 more?

    • What's BFS?

      • Black Friday Sales.

Because I can't fit a 75 inch TV in the boot of my time machine.

      • Rent a van or use courier service.

        • Renting a van just to transport a TV does not sound feasible.

  • any good prices on the 55inch model? (anywhere?)

  • any soundbars anywhere?

  • Just wondering how the F i would fit it in my car haha

If you do proceed to buy this TV, make sure you upgrade the firmware as first priority.

I got the 55 inch version of this model and it was slow as hell. A software update back in February 2016 improved the performance of this TV 10-fold.

The firmware is about 1GB in size, so it's may take some time, but it's well worth it.

    • That would be the X8500C if it was available in Feb 16 (I was considering returning mine without the updates). The X8500D seems to be quite good out of the box from people's experiences but still worth updating (if there are any updates).

    • Sony system update direct from the TV is quite quick to do even if its a GB. 20 min download and install. Improves performance a lot.. I wouldn't say 10-fold though. Its a TV with adequate processing performance not an i7 MacBook.

  • might have to pick up 2.. bargain :P
