If you’re like me, you hate ironing. I don’t even own an ironing board. I wear crinkled shirts. If I had a Steam Buddy, I might reconsider the wrinkled shirt wearing. Simply hang the garment and pass the Steam Buddy over the wrinkles to see them disappear. It’s ideal for all fabrics and you can even use it over sequins and beads. It eliminates the hassle of an ironing board (which is good for me), and there’s no more burning or melting of clothes. But it’s not only clothes that can be steamed – use it on drapes, sheets, tablecloths, anything! Save yourself the hassle of everyday ironing, and save yourself an amazing $69 off retail!

Features:

  • The safest, easiest and fastest way to remove wrinkles
  • Includes Steam Buddy, water dispenser, fabric brush attachment and steam buddy cleaning brush
  • No more burning or melting of clothes
  • Ideal for all fabrics
  • Safe to use over sequins and beads
  • Use it for more than clothes – drapes, bedding, tablecloths, upholstery and more!

got one. awww man. this better work.

  • Sounds good and the video makes it look great but many negative reviews out there:

    http://www.consumersearch.com/as-seen-on-tv/steam-buddy

  • Not worth it. You need to buy proper size steam iron to do the job.

  • people really need to google before buying haha

  • Hmmm the video says its performance is guaranteed!!???… Will COTY honour this guarantee???

    Those reviews aren't promising.

Anyway, you can achieve the same result with any iron that has a shot of steam function. And have less clutter.

  • Wrinkled shirts? Forget the iron, just hang them in the bathroom while you have a nice hot shower.

  • Price is 9.97 not 9.95
    Shipping is 7.95 not 10

It can be handy in some cases because it's less dangerous than an iron if you hold it vertically.

It definitely does not worth $79.90, but at a price of $9.97 (+ $7.95 shipping), I will give it a try.

I've had one of these hand-held garment steamers before. Whilst it's not the same as this one, my experience of these hand-held steamers were not very positive. These were my thoughts:

    • You start by filling these things with water. The container itself only has a limited supply and you would find yourself refilling with water every so often.
    • The electric element then basically heats up the water until it steams, and off you go.

The premise is simple, but the output of steam is dependent upon the pressure buildup and the heating element. I found that often, the heating element simply could not cope with the rate of water hitting it as you pump the thing, and instead of hot steam coming out hot water comes dribbling out and can potentially burn you if you hold it the wrong way (I used to hold it horizontally to avoid boiling hot water dripping on my hand).

Regardless, the output of steam was not very overwhelming and more often than not this will not replace ironing.

I see that it's sold out and for $20 or so it's worth the experience I suppose. Just remember please to be careful when operating this to avoid burns.
