Yup. For a lot of them it is cheaper to buy a few new copies than using the "buy 1 get 1 free" preowned "deal". Eg. Lego Marvel Super Heroes is $19 new or $48 preowned.

Can't say I've found much value in the pre-owned sale at the moment myself but I already own most of the games. Many titles aren't being displayed on the website by default (click 'In Store' to view them all) so it's definitely worth checking out your local EB for some hidden gems in the rough.

But you used to be able to get a brand new copy for $49 ($1 more than EB's pre-owned price) - a little more patience and JB will probably randomly drop it back down to $49 again (or possibly Big W and Target). If you're charging these sorts of prices for pre-owned, you might as well get a new copy.
It's part of the 'Buy 1, get 1 free' deal, so it's effectively $24 for the game if there's a second one you want :)
This "sale" seems dodgy as per the above links/examples.

- Prices higher for used than new.
- Unrealistic used prices period.

I checked this promotion yesterday and its seems they have raised the price for most of games. Previously Rita fall was available for $9 now its for $18. Also, Kinect sports rival is cheaper if you buy new for $28 while the preowned is $42.

I've had some great deals. Once a game is unpopular…lots of Xbox 360 stuff…old Skylander games and figurines, a few really well rated games that are a few years old.
This sale is absolutely one of the worst I have seen.
Its only on select preowned games that have been jacked up in price, would have been cool to get gta and darks souls 3 for 57
Like cheers for posting since you thought this was good, but like, this is clockwork for them. Every sale, there's discounts, which are more or less what everyone else is charging, then the next sale they do these buy 2 get one or buy 1 get 1 like this and they juack the prices up when these sales are on to make them more money, EB ain't stupid yo.

Prices increased. I bought Fifa 12 for $4 instore a few days back. Now it is showing $10 with the B1G1F offer.
I think they raised the prices of their preowned games to go with this sale. Some games I was watching have increased in price by up to $30.
