When I was at the netball they had VR hooked up and it was insane!!! almost like you were on court

would love a Cricket VR game or a Baseball Vr for that matter….. let's hope the Don Bradman series take it there!!

      • How many move controllers will end up being thrown at the TV. Like when the Wii cam out.

For those that have it, are you using the PSVR with the standard PS4 or the Pro model? How have you found the experience? I'm thinking of getting one but don't really want to upgrade to the Pro at the same time. Any stand out games so far? Thanks for any opinions or experiences you feel like sharing.

Using it on the standard PS4 myself. Great piece of kit. Haven't used it on the Pro tho to compare.

    • I'm sure there's heaps of YouTube videos

      • Yeah of course, just looking for some everyday opinions from Ozbargainers rather than game sites and youtubers ;)

Had it since launch. Still using it pretty often on the standard PS4 model. It's great, its not 1080p but good enough once you get immersed. Some great games about to come out like Ace Combat 7 and Resident Evil 7. Only downside would be that you might get motion sickness playing some games. You can train yourself to get used to this over time though. One of my bigger gaming purchases, yet no regrets. Well worth it.

      Other stand out games:
      Werewolves within
      Thumper
      Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.

IMHO its perfectly fine on a standard PS4.

Yeah motion sickness is the only real issue for mine. Most ppl I think should get used to it tho with time and a bit of ginger helps as well haha.

I've got both the PS4 Pro and Standard and have to say that so far the Pro doesn't enhance the VR greatly but it does definitely enhance it (for those games that have been optimised for it)…. just the change in shading and added colours in games help make the environment a lot nicer (e.g. in Robinson, Rigs and VR Worlds)… the Pro is not a must have yet (if you already have the PS4) but if you are getting PSVR and PS4 together or want to maximise your VR experience, definitely get the PS4 Pro…

Had PSVR since launch and still use it daily. Initially used a PS4 and now use a PS4 Pro. The PS upgrade is not necessary at all and the differences are hardly noticeable.
      Standout title: Battlezone

About to try it with one of those motion sickness bands you can get from the chemist! If it works, it might be a game changer. The motion sickness thing is really killing my PSVR for me…

    • It all depends on the game. The worst ones I played for this issue was Eagle Flight, Scavenger's Odyssey (VR Worlds game) and RIGS. I played the RE7 demo and felt a little queasy after playing it. I just stopped playing them. The other games I have played do not have any locomotion and cause no issues.

Off-topic but includes PSVR: You see now there's an alpha driver for windows that lets you use the psvr in windows.

Could be interesting. But haven't had chance to try out yet.

    • For maximum motion sickness play that one. The roller coaster…wow.

My fave game so far is the free call of duty flying one.

      • The space alien asteroid one in the "worlds" disc is the one that does me in. That and Battle zone a little.

  • Batman VR is my fav. Kitchen demo is pretty good for jump scares. VR worlds the heist is cool with ducking and shooting. I had the VR since first day but didn't get move controllers until Xmas. So much better with them. Few people including myself are having issues with rush of blood controller calibration where the setting is off to the left but still a great experience.

I am using a day 1 ps4 and the fan runs full blast whilst VR is on. I have now put a small fan to try to get it more ventilated. Which seems to be working. When playing normal games I.e BF1 fan runs at normal speed. So I recon a PS4 Pro may help out. But not sure
