Killer price for Doom with all the new Snap Map content

Shadow of Mordor is a must experience imho

    • Agree. Still spend many hours at a time playing this excellent game.

I found it really repetitive and boring.

      • I'm somewhere in the middle I did find it somewhat boring and repetitive but it was also really week designed and unique. The Nemesis System is awesome and so is all the combat and climbing and all that, it's just that the mission structure and the story were super dull in my opinion. I also found the world rather drab and yuk then again I'm not a LOTR fan.

    • My PC is not powerful enough

    Thanks for sharing:)

Fantastic price for DOOM. Picked it up quickfast. Cheers!

Enjoy - you are in for one hell of a demon face crushing ride.

I just finished it recently from the last sale a few weeks ago and so far it's my single player GOTY.

      • I loved the latest Wolfenstein games and I think this will follow suit in relation to old school shooters. Give that game a go if you haven't already.

Love cdkeys.com, great prices for literally all games.

        • Yeah I really enjoyed both of the new Wolfenstein games over the last few years. There's also a 2009 Wolfenstein that was fantastic that didn't get much attention. You reminded me about that, I'll have to pick up a copy ASAP.

      • Wow, nice. Started playing this months ago then work got too busy. I always forget to use the damn chainsaw for bonus ammo lol. Slightly annoying trying to go HAM with limited ammo. Though i do get that they do it to make you switch weapons. Stun mod on the plasma rifle (or whatever it is) is a bloody lifesaver.

  • Any gamblers here? One of these is probably going free to play and the other is terrible!

Poor example. If you're going to provide one then make sure your maths is right. The saving is approximately $1.67 over Bundle Stars. Besides why spend more? That is a genuine question.

      less

Maybe you don't understand what a bargain is?

    • That is USD seriously it's not hard to understand the difference USD vs AUD

  • After purchasing Doom I was prompted to enter my phone number to confirm my purchase (which has never happened before, and seems entirely unnecessary).

The game key was also a scanned piece of paper. Super dodgy.

    • I've bought Overwatch and many other keys from this website and never had a problem and also showed the game key that way.

    • from what I can tell, they purchase the games in stores around the world but they're "global" keys (i.e. they work anywhere). Thus why it's so much cheaper than Steam, where retailers set the price per region.

A bit like using PSN/Origin/Amazon accounts in different parts of the world.

The fraud checks always put me off though, I've been asked to provide a scan of my drivers license. I get the reasoning (non-physical items are really easy to buy with a stolen paypal/credit card) but it still puts me off entirely.

    • That's the way cd key resellers work. You only need to verify once. No big deal as long as the game verifies.

      • +1

Except it's a huge deal if their database is ever compromised and three significant points of identity are in the hands of random hackers.. The lure of a cheap cd key isn't enough for me to leave my info out there with people I don't trust.

        • Good point. Never had to give my drivers license to Steam/GOG/BundleStars.

        • Good point. I pay via PayPal and have only given them my phone number. I don't necessarily feel too concerned about the details provided.

    • I've been purchasing off them for 3 years now, haven't had an issue with them.

    • Better than getting no key

  • +1

Hitman has been cheaper in the past (about $21 the other week from Gamestop US), so I suggest waiting if you don't want it now

  • I have Arkham Knight on pc and I reckon it's fun enough for that price; i also haven't encountered any bugs. I enjoyed all the Arkham games except Origins, which I couldn't even get more than 30 mins into..

    • +1

yeah, Arkham Knight has really been fixed properly. It was basically unplayable for me on release, I got a refund then repurchased for $5 or so later on, really worth the money now for what's an incredible AAA game.

Origins was a completely different studio making it, Warner Bros attempt to make more cash by having multiple developers on the same IP. It really didn't work.

      • I got bored with Arkham knight. Waaaay too much batmobile.

I want to know why there is a sudden need to drive the car on roofs to solve every little thing yet in previous games, Bats did just fine without it.

    • Serious question but is it playable properly in general or just on 900+ series cards? The latter of which is what I've heard. I have it on PS4 but I might buy it for my laptop which has an 850m if it's decent.

Dont forget cash back from quidco.

$18.35 for Fallout 4 using the code. It's the cheapest I can find for PC currently.

Do Europe region games work in Australia? Infinite warfare is only $18.69 on cdkeys.

    • European codes do not work in Australia. Looked at the price as well and got excited but yeah doesn't work in Australia :(

    • Region lock for Infinite warfare, u have to go for APAC version

  • Shadow of mordor is great if you like going around different suburbs decapitating people.

  • Dishonored Game Of The Year Edition (PC)
    AU$ 8.49

    • Coupon doesn't work, but still a good price from what I've seen.
    • Best price out there.

I bit the bullet at this price!

      • Don't forget to play the witches DLC story. It's pretty great!

    Hitman and Doom purchased.
    Thank you.

  • mafia 3 for AU $25.49 is not bad either:

But it's region locked… Not for Oz.

      • oops my bad. good thing i decided not to buy it, i have more than enough non started games in my steam library

  • is Hitman worth it, i heard mixed rumors about it

    • I just grabbed it. For $30 I'd say it is. Reviews are quite good on it.

  • Doom now $22.09 & $19.88 after disc

  • +1

Doom is a steal for that price on PC. I have it on PS4 and it's a technical masterpiece. Runs at 1080/60 with a dynamic resolution but nearly always hits the full 1080. Really fun old school type of game, my only gripes being a lot of the artistic decision - which I get is part of Doom - but I found the Satanism, gore and bloodiness a bit too much. I'm not new to games or violent media but I felt they went quite a bit too over the top. The score is amazing too and composed by Mick Gordon, an Australian and is honestly one of the coolest video game scores I've heard in quite awhile but it doesn't sound cliché or generic.

This and TF2 are really the surprise hits of this year and this game is like the Mad Max Fury Road of gaming.

    • +1

Cheers for the review. I've been a bit sceptical with Doom. Loved the original back in the 90's but didn't think the remake would be decent. Might have to add it to the list. :)

      • +1

Yeah i think it's worth it. $17 isn't a lot but on PC you can probably do a bit with that if you wanted to spend it on something. It's a great benchmark too if you're into stuff like that, plus there's shittones of extra content with SnapMap and all the DLC is free. There's MP too but it was outsourced to Certain Affinity who did Halo 4s multiplayer and are kind of renowned for making decent-shitty multiplayer components. I haven't actually tried it yet because there's a 26gb patch which is hell (pun intended) on Australian broadband, but it's there if you want it.

  • is the code not working anymore?

  • Expired I believe, says code is invalid when inputting at checkout.
