Was going to get the 4gb model, but $10 extra for 8gb so why not.

    That particular one, probably warranty. From reviews I read / watched you're looking at a 15% difference in performance between Rx 470 & Rx 480.

  Tried to price match with a HN representative online but he told me PLE computers stocks are grey import so no go. :(

  Pick up is not an option either so the $8 shipping should be considered as part of the final price.

    Thats not even true i think. Pretty sure PLE, having an Australia storefront constitutes as an importer if they didnt buy it from the official Australian MSI distributor.

    I dont know the definitions of grey import though.

    Theres no international model for these and PLE offers full warranty.

    So even is they didnt buy from an Australian distributor (which i think they do) they've effectively become the importer amd assumes the liability.

      Yeah, I can't see anywhere in PLE's T&C of their stocks are grey import or not. I'll try later and hopefully get a different representative who has more favourable perception. That price on the rx470 is truly good. If only their 1060 price is as good.

  Hi all,

  The HN representative this morning has been more helpful. I am now awaiting the arrival of the RX470 8GB for a total price of $316.95 shipped (less $100 Amex credit).

  The price in title needs to be updated to this as store pick-up is not an option here.
