    Good find NC

    • not really! It is stone age tech and since they sold them before for $12 minus staff discount one can safely say that they are likely paying less than $10 for them.

Someone ought to dump a truckload of them in Rod Sims garden! The retail duopoly sucks!

    Full HD Movie Print

    ??

    • +5

It will print a frame from an HD movie.

      • +2

This printer monitors the movies you watch?

      • +10

Damn was hoping to make my HD movie into a flipbook, though for $200 worth of ink.

      • How many frames will I need to print for Shrek 1 & 2

        • +19

129,600 for Shrek, 133,920 for Shrek 2 for a grand total of 263,520!

@Flying Ace: Nooo I just printed Sherk and its 129609

    Just be careful.

Like an adopted baby - the upfront cost is not what you should be concerned with…

    • +3

Yes very true.. but even if its a disposable printer, may be cheaper this way

        I have one of these:
        https://www.canon.com.au/printers/pixma-mg5150/support

Cost about $150 - Wireless and all the shitz.

        The missus wanted it.

Each time I use it and I use it about every 4 months it cleans the cartridges dry. I shit you not.

I have to replace one cartridge each time it gets switched on.

I love canon products but switched to Brother because of this.

It now lives a lonely life - left off in the cupboard with probably $200 of unused cartridges as I one day will try and sell it on.

Probably printed about 40 text pages.

    No wireless, bummer.

  • +5

Just one after market black ink cartridge is more expensive than the printer!

    • +8

Yes, that's why you buy a new printer when you need a refill. The free market delivers again!

Good deal. If somebody had've told me yesterday you could get both a brand new iPad Air (Via Pricebeat) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/284356 and printer for below $500 at Officeworks I would've been pleasantly surprised.

    It's now $39

    • +3

description above says it starts on the 29th.

      • +2

        Your right
Helps if I read it properly

        • :) happens to me all the time.

    • It's not 29/12 yet!

Hi Op nice offer. Any word of low price laptops coming on to the sales run? Thanks

  • +1

Problem with these SUB AUD$250 printers is the ink to refill them is over (profanity) priced

You will save more money in the long run investing in a decent or over 200 buck printer
    to get cheaper ink/toner

DO NOT buy these sub 200 printers if you want to print a LOT

    • +3

      It also has a scanner!

    • Epson has a "greed" model with an outhouse where one can "botle up"
no matter how you do the economics only a fool would buy it

  • +2

How does this compare to the hp one from the good guys?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/284350

  • the ink is worth $50 so just open them all up and get all cartridges and let them recycle the rest! Hint: If the colour says it was empty there is usually heaps of cyan left.
Prints fine scans super just slow and stone age wired tech

  • Limit 1 per person, per day.

    My cheap refills :(

      Per store?

    • just go to a different check out chick every time, it worked for me

      • proof that our retail duopoly is a total failure!

This printer will connect to your computer with a USB cable.

Please note, a USB cable is not included

    SERIOUS??

    • how much for the usb cable? what's it's called btw?

      • +1

usually one dollar on the net or endless clutter of them in your local op shop it is called A to B cable

        • thanks ..picked it up from good guys for a dollar

  • It was $12 last year https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/227943

    and it chews through Ink

    • +3

nice, I can get a 15 dollars refill then.

  • was $18 at west perth HN. just saw this arvo.
does this scan documents to pdf?

  • -2

Is there something like this that comes with wireless?

  • Is it free delivery to metro areas if bought online?

  • Just picked up 2. Comes with a 510 and 511 cartridge which retail for over $30 each so cheaper to buy a couple of printers than ink

Thanks OP. I used my daily limit for today 😂 at Burleigh Heads, QLD.

They still had 5 left on the shelf.

  • Southport has plenty.
