Looking for a Cheap Loud Hifi

I've been looking for a cheap Hifi on sale but can't find a decent on eon sale anywhere.
My stereo has been broken since the start of December but i thought I should wait till Boxing Day sales but haven't found one yet.
Tried JBHifi, Good Guys, Harvey Norman, Sony Shop, Target.
Any suggestions you awesome bargainers have would be great.

    Costco sells some Sony system with stupid big speakers for little money.

    How much are you looking to spend and what kind of use and stuff do you want to play?

    Also what was the system you had that stopped working?

      My current stereo is an old LG, like over 7 years old.
      Was looking at the Sony SHAKEX1D 1200 Watt Mini Hi-Fi System which was $525 before xmas but went up after xmas :/
      Other than that one i saw the Panasonic Mini System 1700W SC-AKX660GNK could be okay.
      I'm not looking for super high quality sound, more just loud with a lot of functionality.
      May end up settling for LG DM2740DAB 160W DVD Micro System.

        What about the LG CM4360 or its bigger brother the LG CM5660
        The Panasonic SC-AKX220 or its bigger brother the Panasonic AC-AKX600

        Only in someone's dreams.

        And the specs say 18700 watts PMPO!

        Panasonic don't provide any details on how they arrive at these figures for this model, but on a similar "1600 watt" unit, they do quote output at 30% distortion.

        And obviously they have beaten the laws of physics because they quote about about a tenth of their 1700 watts of output as the mains power consumption.
