Was looking for a decent mixer and stumbled across this deal at Harris Scarfe. It's a 3 in 1 machine which can act as mixer, food processor & Blender.

Appliancesonline.com.au is selling the same product at $443, so looks like a great deal. Already ordered one…:)

  • I'm interested in seeing how this acts as a stand mixer, not many reviews online though
The Mrs will not use it for much , just to cream up butter and sugar or whip some eggs

It used to be quite a popular model in Germany (link to older model). https://www.amazon.de/Braun-Multiquick-Küchenmaschine-K3000-umfangreichem/dp/B000LB1D4U/

This is the newer model, perhaps a bit less good (the German reviews indicate one or two weak parts), but still overall good by the look of it. https://www.amazon.de/Braun-Küchenmaschine-Tribute-Collection-Liter/dp/B00LPG0LH0/

I have had a related model for 20yrs, still going strong, but not available in Australia anymore (to my knowledge). https://www.amazon.de/Braun-3030-Tribute-Collection-Kompakt-Küchenmaschine/dp/B00IXCG03S

I think the Bosch stand mixer is more popular from German brands.

For the advertised price, I would expect this might be a good price:performance decision, but be aware that most of these types of machines don't manage heavy bread doughs well.

    • Hi great info thanks for this

Will this machine manage pizza dough or dough with the consistency of indian flat breads, it will be great to know, else will wait for a stand mixer deal , thanks again

      • Pizza dough is a relatively soft dough, no problems. Same with most flat breads. You just need to make sure you read the maximum quantities in the manual or you'll overload the motor.

        • Thank you for the info, I'm being double minded still as read a review this cannot be used to cream butter for cakes and stuff, so it maybe dubious claim by Braun

@kamban: I can't see why it wouldn't cream butter. Your average food processor bowl can achieve that (though not as well as a stand mixer), so this should do it without a problem. As with any device, quantities (too much/little) will influence the outcome. I sometimes have to make small quantities of Italian meringue in my Kenwood and that is a pain!

      • Can't say but looking at the brand I think that should not be an issue. Earlier I had a 500 watts machine(unheard overseas brand) with similar design and it lasted 7 years. My wife used that mostly for kneading.

  • Sold out online?

    • Check with actual stores…..I managed to pick the last one up from Harris Scarfe - Docklands (Melbourne) today.
I am a great fan of these machines…have had two in the last 22 years…always struggle to get spare parts so getting this item at this price was a real treat.
Many thanks to "anki" for posting.

      • Are they reliable ?

        • We have always found them reliable….the only reason needing replacement is worn out…or the lid broke and we had trouble getting a replacement. I think any kitchen appliance that is used very often and lasts 10 years is a good buy.

      • No problem James. Eagerly waiting for the delivery. I went to the local store and observed that box was quite big. Was feeling good that I ordered online and saved some space for other things to carry during the day..😊
