KitchenAid KSM195 Artisan Stand Mixer $839.20 Delivered / C&C / in-Store @ MYER

30

I stumbled across Myer selling cheaper than anyone else the latest colour KitchenAid stand mixer. This is a one-day only deal, though.

The KitchenAid website says they price match certain retailers. They also had a pop up offering me 10% off a purchase over $100 if I signed up to their newsletter. I don't know if these discounts are stackable, but if so it would beat Myer's price. KitchenAid's FAQs say you can't pay with AfterPay if you get a price match over the phone.

    Do Artisans really use KitchenAid?

Designed and assembled in the USA

Does that mean "Made in China" ?

  • These are great but this price is more expensive than what KA was selling the lift mixers for on Black Friday and can see 195 has been 550-600 multiple times from OzB posts.

The 150's just have less attachments and with cashback have been little bit under 400.

Indeed. It's more for anyone who wants the latest "it" colour of Butter that KitchenAid has been heavily promoting.

The $500/$600 specials aren't usually for the eye catching coloured mixers.

People spending 300 more on an already overpriced mixer because it's a cool colour they saw on tiktok.

        • KitchenAid mixers are expensive for sure but they are very well built, long lasting & aesthetically pleasing. They're a showpiece that's also highly functional. For these reasons many people covet them.

Personally I'd rather spend $$ on a KitchenAid than anything Ninja or on a Thermomix (which I reckon is wildly overpriced).

  • Anyone able to recommend a multi-tool/food processor?

We've got a very tight kitchen, and can't really waste bench or cupboard space on a single use tool.

    • I bought a Kenwood Multipro Go. It's part of a range specifically designed for small spaces. There's a matching hand mixer & stand mixer too, but I don't have those. They're all light, small and portable.

The Kenwood Multipro Go seems to quite often go on special for around $99 to $109. You can buy cheaper food processors but this one is well designed, pretty & great for small kitchens. Kenwood apparently has a good reputation for being long lasting.

I like that the Multipro Go has a chute so you can put a bowl underneath it & process an infinite amount of veges, despite the bowl/machine itself being small. The only drawback is that the whole system isn't stackable into one footprint, despite some of the marketing stating that. You need space for the food processor, bowl & blade on the one hand & a separate space for the disc & chute. It's still much better than the large food processor I used to have taking up too much space in my kitchen cupboards.
