  • For the Wayfarer the product code F of 2132F does that mean 'Frame only'? Anyone knows?

    • +1

I'm 99.99% sure only prescription glasses can be purchased 'frame only' and as these are sunglasses they are sold with lenses included. You can always take them back within 30 days for full refund http://www.opsm.com.au/faqs - $90 Ray Bans link here: http://www.opsm.com.au/sunglasses/ray-ban/square/rb2132f-new-wayfarer-(f)/8053672060515

The F means they are Asian fit.

  • Still waiting for a deal like this.

  • Finally a sale that includes some Oakleys.

  • +4

The F in the wayfarer for $90 means it's an "alternate FIT" something to do with higher cheekbones and wide nose bridges.

Not sure if they heat and adjust, or they are already pre "tweeked", I recall OPSM had a machine with like granules in it they heated a frame for me and adjusted …. wasn't a special fit frame.

  • Can anyone advice how much additional cost would incur for prescription lenses?

    • +1

I was there yesterday enquiry on the club master. It's around 400 for a mirrors prescription lenses.

When hey had the 50% off lenses deal, I got my prescription ray bans for $350 all up including polarised

      • Do you have to pay out of pocket from 350?

        • +1

prescription lenses come off your private health care.

I don't need prescriptions, but OPSM used to grind glass zeiss lenses are replacements for broken or scratched lenses in my sunglasses, and I could claim that vs std lenses …. health care doesn't charge based on magnification, just it's a lenses fitted into frame by optometrist.

I'm with Medibank and it was rebated 100% so nothing out of pocket :)

        • thanks guys. Btw, are those polarised or need to pay additionally for polarisation?

        • @davodinkum: nice. I got only 60% refund via NIB. It is also quite expensive for extras with no gap

  • +3

Are these available in store as well?

  • +1

Is it possible to buy this using PHI? My Eye sights are good so I don't really need prescription but wondering how I can uses Optical extra. (Never claimed anything on my PHI before)

  • Good deal, though be sure to purchase the correct size. For the Clubmaster the smaller "49" are $100 but the more common size "51" are $160.

will this be in store tomorrow too?

    • +1

Yeah does anyone know if it will be in store tomorrow?

      • I checked at OPSM Macquarie and this wasn't available =[

Tried to get prescription lenses via private health (no gap). Had an eye test, 20/20 vision so wasnt eligible.. Dang, good eyes!

    • medibank didn't ask about vision quality, i just went into opsm, they ground zeiss std vision lenses to fit and bingo,,,, cheap sunnies.

      • I got denied by Opsm… Should'a went to Specsavers!

  • Are the wayfarers for $90 out of stock? can't seem to find :(

    • +1

No I still can find see it here

  • The clubmaster is showing as $160 ??

  • +2

Went into store. Apparently it's floor stock only. If you don't might a few hundred people wearing your sunnies before you buy them….

  • Hate Luxottica.

  • +1

Went to Opsm on George st, didnt have the $90 new wayferers in stock but picked up the following for $105. Prices don't appear to be consistent, all over the shop (excuse the pun).
