Thanks steptoe for the heads up! Read the reviews jelko and get some knowledge; Being a brand-snob is expensive business.

  • Great TV… Great Price

  • Would this TV be the pick of the 75" for under $3000?

    • +2

Costco had the Sony Bravia KD75X8500D for similar price recently.

  • Would be tempted if there is a deal on the 50" or 55" version in the sales.

    • I got the 55" for $1050 from Video Pro yesterday.
Really happy with it. If you have any questions please let me know

      • Did you get the series 7 version, I can't seem to find it for that price on their website

        • I sure did!
If you guys need a copy of my receipt/invoice let me know.

        • @Younge: please, if you could. I am traveling at the moment, so I have to try their online chat

        • @praga:
Online chat are useless. I tried to get discount from them last week and they palmed me off.
I'll upload receipt when I get home

        • @Younge: thanks mate, sorry actually what I meant is to try and match at Harvey Norman so I could use my Amex deal on top of this.

  • does it have 3 yrs in-home warranty?

my Aunts blew up on the 38th month, HiSense would not help her, she only uses it to watch SBS for an Hour every morning.

    shame.

    • Chase up via ACL?

      • ACCC? yeah might but the hassle! hmmmm

        • Not ACCC - Australian Consumer Law.

          See @MyResolve link below

umm what are you doing man, you are entirely covered under the Australian consumer law…regardless of whatever garbage the retailer or manufacturer wants to tell you…. This 5 min video shown on the abc tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. Good luck! https://youtu.be/uE8BB-ioNRw

      • great reference and thanks for sharing!

  • Will this Tv fit on 130cm table?

    • I doubt it given placement of the stand/feet towards the edges

Width with Stand (mm) - 1676.0

  • Just got 75m7000 refined from local HN, first one had 2 dead pixels and gap between metal frame/plastic

Swapped next day, the second one had 3 dead pixels, swapped again in 1 hours, 2 dead pixels. The delivery guy and store both told me to get other brand

So I might just pick Sony 75x8500d up on Monday.

According to my research, 75m7000 is rebranded from k700, it only has a firmware upgraded, same as 70inch, in China, hisense has m7000 up to 65inch.

    • Quality Control in China is still an issue. You pay peanuts you get monkeys.
