Hi Guys - was looking for a 24" HDMI screen for the bedroom for my xbox 360 - this looks to be pretty good for a little over 200 bucks.

How do u output the sound from ur xbox, cause the monitor cant do that by itself right?
You will need to get the XBOX HDMI RCA plug. The standard composite/component plug is too big to allow HDMI as well (bad design or on purpose?) They are $10 on ebay with an HDMI cable, so no biggy.
Then you will have the Spdif or standard red and white plugs.
EDIT: Oh, I see this has HDMI sound as well. My Dell uses DVI, so I needed to do this. You may still need this route if you want 5.1 though. I couldn't get 5.1 out of my xbox with HDMI, but that may just be my old crappy xbox.
according to the manual it has 3.5 headphone out
stick a $10 set of spks on the LCD and you're done (assuming you use HDMI of course)
yeah pretty much headphone jack out to a pair of logitech z-10s are fine for what i need them for :)

I bought a couple of monitors from Dell last week using a similar discount code for RACV members.
There is a page on the dell website (http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/topics/topic.aspx/ap/topics/…) where you type in your auto club membership number (racv, racq, nrma etc) and it gives you the discount codes to get 15% off monitors, and a handful of other discounts between 5% and 15%.
Worth a look if you are a member of an auto club.

Yes inc shipping, Dell doesn't charge extra for shipping (ie it's already in the price) unless you want outside business trading hours (ie after 5pm), but the after hours option is only available for sytem orders (ie desktops and laptops, etc)
arrghh.. is there anyway to get the Vostro 430 tower by itself so I can get the 8% Vostro discount and 15% discount for the monitor? :P

When I enter the code the price comes up as $254.14 making it even more expensive!
It's because that monitor already has $50 off. Discounts don't stack.
So I can't get this monitor for $203 anymore?
