Vodafone Bonus Bank - Contributes Towards Buying a New Phone!

140

We've just launched Bonus Bank, Australia's first Prepaid mobile loyalty program
that rewards you with Bonus Bank dollars to put towards a new mobile1.

Here's how it works: with every Vodafone Prepaid mobile recharge you make, you'll
automatically get 10% of your recharge amount back in Bonus Bank Dollars. That means if you
spend $29, you'll get $2.90 in Bonus Bank Dollars and it's that simple.

You can start redeeming your Bonus Bank dollars once you have accumulated at least $10 Bonus Bank dollars & have been registered with Bonus Bank for at least 90 days. You will also need to make sure you are on an active recharge at the time of redemption.

after 24 (or 2 years) recharges I get $70 to use on a new mobile…
Seems like a lot of work just for $70. Better off signing up for a post-paid plan and get a free phone that's worth more than $100 with it.

The last thing a prepaid customer would be interested in is money towards a vodaphone branded phone after 2 years imo.

  • Many people I know use prepaid because they can't get post paid so this isn't going to help them.

Post paid has nothing to do with the "bonus bank"

As they are on prepaid this will be useful to them as they have a credit toward when they want a new phone.

      • I guess you're right if you're looking to buy a phone outright.

If you can get 10% cash at Safeway/Woolworth all the time for recharges, why joing this scheme?

    • Does that mean I can't get the bonus bank credit if I get 10% discount on the recharge? :(

      • Seems that way, yes.
