I have both but I only play multiplayer on PSN. Don't subscribe to both if you don't need to. For me the Xbox is a UHD player essentially. Which I don't need… These are bargains but I wonder how many of us have just bought dust collectors.

As someone who plays FF - what of these three games do you think would be best value in terms of trying out and possibly playing? In saying that I don't actually know what minecraft is like - housemate is into NBA 2K17 and I've played Mass Effect before, but never a Halo title. Too bad Gears of War isn't in it, I feel that I would have gotten that instead - just happy to hear some opinions/suggestions - thanks!

Tell me about it. Harvey Norman price match is pretty horrendous. Couldn't get any matches from jb nor en games. No consistency at all, so was about to give up. Then saw this deal today.
Might even head down to jb for their 2 for 30 4k bluray (selected movies only)

Nope. The person I got said the competitor has to have the item as "for immediate delivery". It literally has to say this. Jb has the item in stock and for delivery within 5 days (which is standard for all their products). Which effectively mean they don't price match JB.
Then tried to price match eb yesterday, they said it couldn't be price matched because the item was in store only.
Laughable.

You can try it, if it doesn't work because they quote some bs, you can always report to consumer affair Vic (which I did). Might not do much but if there are multiple issues raised, something might be done.
As I said, they're very inconsistent. It feels like whatever the operator feels like on the day goes.
I tried to get HN to match JB and they wouldn't in store. Said all their stock was on hold for other people.
Went to the HN website and online help thing and they matched it. I did click and collect from the same store that wouldn't price match.
Yup with shipping worked fine for me. Got instant email from amex :)

If you consider yourself a serious gamer, it's of my personal opinion you should stick with pc.
Ps4 pro has better hardware and I believe ps4 generally has better games (I know its personal, but beyond two souls, the last of us…wow).
The Xbox one s will work well with my 4k TV. I'm also a very casual gamer, so this works well for me.
Also for 200 bucks…
If you're really wanting an Xbox, wait for project Scorpio. That will give you vr and much better hardware. Stick with your pc for now.
I bought a few consoles in the recent sales with the cheap prices, had to go back to the pc due to the need to play with a mouse and keyboard.
Yes to be honest, I'm a pc person. Mouse and keyboard…mmmm.
But it doesn't make sense for me to invest in a desktop, because I just don't use computers. My surface 2 (rt, I know I know), does the job of basic word/excel/email.

Was researching the mine craft bundle on Amazon . Lots of warning that this is not "s" on Amazon . Could buyers please make sure that it is indeed " s". I am past gaming and would not have a clue what the differences are but I am guessing that people would want the latest meaning "s " edition .

The only differences between the Xbox one and the 's' are:
1) slightly faster overclock-may result in slightly mote consistent framerate
2) basically a 4k blu ray player + game console (unlike ps4). Which means its a more complete multimedia device.

Click and collect seems to be a bit shithouse - as far as I can work out/what customer service told me, rather than picking in-store stock they ship from a central warehouse to your local store.
I placed an order on Friday as well, got confirmation but it's been stuck on processing/packing since then.
I just called a moment ago. Its still "processing". I'm giving it another day.
