Might be useful for some. It's an old model but still very capable pro video-oriented camera with 4K video support. This is the only Canon DSLR with 4K C-Log.
Duty & taxes can be collected by B&H.
Price at DCW $8395.

Mostly, yes. If you're spending upwards of several thousand on a body it's most likely you do it for work. In which case you want as little downtime as possible.
Australian Canon Pro's have the potential to join… https://www.canon.com.au/support/cps (canon seem to have removed the information about CPS membership types).
Should i get this if i'm not a pro?
Does the $505 US duty & tax include GST, or is that another $617?
You shouldn't be charged US Duty afaik, but you should/will be charged GST (10% and a processing fee) when the products arrive in Australia.
That is calculated for shipping to Australia. I'm assuming that they know the GST & duty rate, much like Amazon charge them when your goods are above the $1000 threshold. So you shouldn't pay any more GST & duty when the goods arrive.
Oh okay, things have clearly changed since I imported my 24-70 mark 1 from them 10 years ago :p
If only I didn't have a wife that would kill me if I bought this. I wonder if I could get it for her for Christmas.. http://i.onionstatic.com/avclub/3466/73/16x9/960.jpg
