New models would be due early next year, so expect to see many more price drops to come
New TV's release from mid May onwards, with wide availability coming mid June. Will still be the current model for about 6 more months.
The $1000 price drop is a bit misleading if $2295 is the everyday price elsewhere.
they just the rrp from release this days lol
Nice to see the price reductions. Hopefully this is the start of EOY discounts of 2016 model TVs. This model is only an 8 bit panel so beware.
Why is that a bad thing? I don't even know what an 8 bit panel is, and why it's bad or should be considered when purchasing a tv so if you could kindly enlighten me that'd be great.
Its not a bad thing per se but 8 bit panels are able to produce 16.7 million colours compared to a 10 bit panel which can produce 1.07 billion colours.
If you have not seen a 10 bit panel you wont know what you are missing but if you compare the panels, you will see a gradient banding of colours on the 8 panel which is due to the panel being unable to produce the same amount of colours that a 10 bit panel can.
Thanks for the response, much appreciated!
Don't seem to have good review in rtings.

Series 7 used to be much better than Series 6 for the previous generation FHD tv from Samsung but this one does not seem to offer much vs KU6000.
Series 6 now is better in every way then 7 and cheaper, i had Them both (kept the 6) and I'd never ever buy 7 again.
I still have my Series 6 FHD and I remember walking into HN and was wowed by the quality of the Series 7 FHD then, that is 3 or 4 years ago. I now have the KS8000 as my main TV and never regretted one moment of it, have an LG SH4 soundbar as well and it is really money well spent.
Goodguys and HN selling for: $2295.00 and other retailers are more.
$1999 seems good to me. Though why the huge price drop?
