This is a Made in USA version so I hope that it would outlast my cheap Remington with 10 years of fortnightly use. It does feel very solid and heavy.

Does that mean I'll live longer if I get fat?
In fact you would!

Do you know if this is available in store to avoid postage cost?
Shop prices are often higher, last time I bought something.
Yes I bought it in store for $44.95
Westfield Southland to be exact
I've had the same Wahl Supertaper clippers since the end of 1994, used weekly, have only ever replaced the blades.
Had mine since early 2000s still no sign that I'll need to replace anything!
What's the model number? I can't find these on Amazon or anywhere else outside Australia. There is not even a photo of it at Wahl Australia.
On the box: "Model No WA9299-2212"
On the clipper itself: "Model 9217"
On the blade: "Precision WAHL USA"
Get the a SuperTaper.
outdated tech, heavy and requires oiling didn't work WAHL for me.
Is it the same one I saw in Costco?
No one here can tell you what you saw at Costco but you
Lol love it
It looked like this

It was… about $50
That costco one seems better deal for $50 as you get more stuff.
