I have four of these phones, one is connected to a spare socket in the house and three others linked to the first as I have no sockets in the garage and shed, the range is really good as they work great even though the three linked phones are so far from the first.

It has been a while but if I remember correctly you put the phone you want to link in registration mode and it should show searching on the LCD screen and then press and hold the button on the base of the phone that has the phone line plugged into it. Hope that helps but I am pretty sure the instructions explain it much better lol.
