Haven't seen it listed on ozb and didn't come up in a search, and I can't find any Big W sales that concern this game, so I thought I'd post it as it's the cheapest I can find for RETAIL version in-store for launch day tomorrow.

Good for those who want a retail disc rather than digital version

Why's this game so expensive :(
I'm so use to seeing $69 for new releases ~

    • it's like 7 or 8 years in the making so I don't blame them

  • The reviews coming out appear to all agree this game runs like arse - especially if you've got a base PS4/Slim. It's definitely not a game where frame-rate matters but it may be worth checking out if you're purchasing Day-1.

… I've got my collector's edition on the way and I'll just wait for them to eventually patch the game to make it run better :P

    • Does the ps4 pro help? Don't want to read any reviews which may spoil it.

      • From what I've read (I too am trying to avoid spoilers) the PS4 Pro manages to keep it at ~30fps @ 1080p, but I believe in a Digital Foundry video there were some dips to ~25fps. I think the normal PS4 is somewhere around the low 20s, which is pretty pathetic.

        • Damn. Time to upgrade…

        • @ChillBro:

I've got a huge collection of PS4 games so I upgraded just-in-case developers upgraded their old games :-P

but I figured most major releases from here on will have some kind of PS4 Pro support.

    • I've got mine collector's edition coming as well. Make sure to buy with a coles mastercard in case of a heavy price drop like metal gear solid V collectors edition.

      • Could you explain what the Coles mastercard does if the price drops?

If price drops within 2 year from same retailer (could be different locations, in store or online), you can get the difference back up to $600 per transaction, $2000 total annually. Exclusions are jewelries, gift cards stuff. I always use coles mastercard to buy games. Like FIFA 17 in 2 year's time would be $5-$15.

          @chino8826:

Caveat being they charge you 1% or up to max $50 if you have a closing balance every month. If you are using the card as a day to day card, it can be hard to remember or keep up with paying the card off. Which is exactly what happened to me so I cancelled it account cover plus.

  • Tempting! Think I might grab Tomb Raider for now instead as reviews seem to be great!

  • Oh I wanted this game, if it lags on PS4 gen 1 then I don't want it.

  • JB have sent out 5% off coupons for Wednesday so if you got one of those and buy from JB it's $75~ ($79 -5%)

I don't know if the coupon works for price matching though.

  • I'm torn. As an ozbargainer I want the cheapest price but as a Team ICO fan I want the $200 Collectors edition.
