Wife wanted a 14 inch around this price that was : "white, looked good and wasn't a Dell".

You might need more than 4gb ram for the program. It could be ok
I'm guessing 3D rendering will be difficult with a weak GPU.
I think the screen res is too low for you to be honest. Look for a model with FHD not HD.
I wouldn't buy this. There's been some crazy deals by TA on other lenovo models (E460/E570/T460 etc) that would be much better suited for you.
Learn about the different types of Lenovo models and you'll see why I'd recommend against this (weak consumer grade, will break with Uni travel)
thanks, will keep looking.
Good deals on Dell Latitudes show up in the factory outlet from time to time.
Wait, am I missing something? Where's the rest of the spec?
I can't find much through GG but from the internet minimum is 1920 x 1080 screen, 520 intel graphics and from what I can gather the 4gb Ram is soldered with a 8gb slot for upgrade…
Says HD screen on Good Guys not FHD.
Copy pasta from ebay.

Well…!
was waiting for that. did not disappoint.
That's what she said ;)
14 inches and white might be difficult though.
Is the keyboard back lit?
Yep with two separate brightness settings
14 inches is a little unrealistic wouldn't you say?
I mean 14 is perfect for me but it's the 4GB ram that kills it
Especially if she wants it in white
only a 5 hour battery life
thats a different model number. when I search for the good guys model - 80TK0039AU - it seems itmay be a Good Guys only one, a special build for them. Harvey Norman does it too. similar base model but different specs.
they change things like battery capacity, keyboard may not be backlit as well as screen, ram etc.
I bought a Toshiba a few years back and it was the same type of thing, not quite the same as the model Toshiba sells.
Go to a good guys store and make sure its the actually specs you think it is.This is what HN/TGG does to avoid customers price matching/beating.
@amts: yep, thats correct.
Fair call. Will check it out and post the result..
Checked it and it is 1368 x 766, no backlit keyboard, 30 Wh Battery etc. I think they don't publish the detailed specs anywhere so customers go online check the model ( not the model number ) and think they're getting what's on the Lenovo site / review sites. It's a little dodgy I rekon. Both from Lenovo and GG.
good going that you checked it out.
I assume you didnt buy it now.LOL, had to buy it as my wife loved the look of it and really doesn't care about any of those specs so was forced to grab it. It hurt, but happy wife happy life!!
I'm pretty pi$$ed about the crap battery though - shows 90% left with 4 hours, I still think it's a bit of a scam.
About to buy this for uni (AutoCAD will be most intensive application), any comments on the laptop in general and/or why I shouldn't?
