Big discounts on some Abbyy products. I was looking at FineScanner Pro which is at a great price but there are also lots of other products.

Who pays $63 for the business card scanner?
These seem purposely overpriced so they can be massively slashed.
I got it for about $6. That's why I posted this.
Which is a very reasonable price for industry-leading software imo. If it works that much better than the competition then this is a great deal. But it's a fair assessment that it's way overpriced at $60+
Give it a go. I tried a bunch and this seemed the best. It integrates all the functions I had been looking for.
I suggest that those being critical actually have a look at some of the functions and reviews before putting people off on the basis of assumptions and cost. To be honest I was going to use this one irrespective of cost then I found this deal. It was a no brainer for me.
Cheers for posting this! I decided to grab the bus card scanner and the OCR scanner. A good doc scanner on your phone pays for itself with one misplaced receipt!
Plus, I've used some "ok" text scanner before (mostly as functions of other apps), and I'm keen to see if this is really that much better.
But you better believe if it's not wonderful I'll be chirping all over their Play Store comments and saying so, seeing as how this is the most expensive app I've bought all year, even at a discount.
I bought it to scan receipts as well. I wanted software that would auto-crop, sync with Dropbox and allow me to export as a PDF. This does the lot and seems to do it well.
I believe it also has OCR and will scan books into 2 individual pages. These are functions I don't need at this stage.
@timi2fly: This is OzBargain and yet you don't know how to use the myriad of free software to do scanning and OCR (especially given your very basic requirements below)? At $5 this software is overpriced, at $55 it's a joke.

The one I looked at is priced at ~$5… so these are usually like ~$40? Is that right? (I suck at maths)
