  • m4/3 mount is special order at $329 :(

    • +1

its a full frame wide angle lense..

why would you bother using one on a small m4/3 sensor since only a fraction of the available image area would be used. You're much better off with a native lense

      • -1

Good quality m4/3 fast and wide native prime lenses (not the pencake ones) cost a lot more than AU$360. On a m4/3 mount this will be 28mm wide.

        • Just get the Panasonic 14/2.5 pancake lens for a little bit more than this. Seems a bit extreme to get this lens which is gigantic compared to the pancake, slower, needs an adapter and doesn't even have AF.

        • @Orpheus:
I actually bought the Pana 14mm pancake but decided to return it because it was unacceptably soft in the corners of the frame, unless you stopped it down to at least f/8. The vignetting was bad too.

IMO Pana made too many compromises to this lens in order to make it pocketable (it was originally sold as a kit lens with the DMC-GF1). I would have been happy with it being twice the size if it were better designed.

No, the Sigma doesn't need an adapter if you get it in the MFT mount. MF is not a problem with focus peaking.

  • I have this lens for the Nikon mount, which I bought while in the States for the same price off Amazon during their Prime Day. I used it all over for landscape photos, and I can't express what incredible value it was and the number of gorgeous shots I would've missed if I didn't have it. Highly recommend!

  • Good price, shame it can't take filters though

  • Amazon looks to have price matched

  • Nice find the also have the 8mm Fisheye in Sony alpha mount for the same price save $20

  • Great lens! I've got the 24mm and 14mm for Canon; If you're in MEL we'll get a new moon on the 30th but alas it may not come in time… you'll get plenty of time to learn Astrophotography.

  • Am i not right in saying that a panoramic photo lens is less effective without a Polarising filter? I'm thinking bluer skys and reflection free water in a landscape shot. How can this be good if it can't take a polarising filter? Just wondering.
