SMS global is probably the most reliable/fastest place to send SMS's online.. I'll admit i have only used them for their free texts that they give out upon sign up, but i'm seriously considering purchasing these as it is pretty good value

Does it show your mobile number as the sender when you send it? And are there any ads on the SMS messages?
There are no ads on this, it's a professional service.
Also, you can change the sender ID to show up as things.. I've done it before, just that the recipient won't be able to reply.
Also very abusable lol, you can basically spoof your sender ID.
I've had an SMS come from God! I really have! Only by using smsgloabl though =P

Stix, the default setting is that the messages sent will show your mobile number, which generally means it will display your name when the recipient receives the message as chances are your name will be in the recipient's phone book.
As cwongtech stated, there's no ads and you indeed can send message with custom sender ID instead of your phone number.
I have very good experience with SMSglobal and I can't recommend them more. (Although prior to this 5c SMS offer I've already jumped ship to Exetel which offers 5c SMS).
yes you can make it come from your number or from a name that doesn't even belong in their address book. usually unknown numbers appear as numbers +6142… but with this you can make the msg have a custom name which generally means when the receiver gets the msg they assume that contact is already in their list, which in surprise is not.
i've used many other SMS services, this is the most reliable greatest quality service i've ever used.

Is this coupon still valid ? I put the code in and bought $1 worth of txts and paid through paypal but there was never any mention of discounts ?
When you put the code in press Enter and it will say "You have enabled our EOFYS SMS Promotion!" and then you can select from the new deals in the "Select Package" drop down box - otherwise if you just select a normal package that's what you'll get.
I paid with paypal.. i got the 5cents deal using the promo code but then at paypal it says they are 10cents each and u only get half the amount. I'm guessing thats normal, dont tell me you are meant to enter the code into BOTH smsglobal and ALSO paypal? Also how long did ppl take to receive their new credit balance? Mine hasnt come up yet?
I paid by credit card and my sms credit balance updated immediately. Processing time was like 10 seconds.
About 10 mins later I got a confirmation email.
