Yah! I was just about to buy burnout paradise, from what I read it is automatically added to your list of games now.

    • +1

Yeah pretty fun game actually! You'll still need to log in on website or your xbox console during the availability period and "purchase" it. Don't need to install straight away though.

  • +1

    Some good games there.

  • +6

    BURNOUT PARADISE!

God damn I used to love that game.

    • Shame they never continued the series as EA pushed them over to the NFS franchise.

Sleeping dogs was great fun on the 360. A nice alternative to GTA with much better fighting mechanics and a decent story. Looking forward to heading back to Hong Kong.

    • +2

Best game ever Sleeping Dogs! Better than freakin watchdogs

    • +3

loved sleeping dogs probably my favorite game ever

  • My 12 month xbox live membership expired last month. Any good 12 month deals going around?

    • +1

Can't attest to anything specific by CDkeys and g2a seem to generally be the cheapest places to get them.

    • +1

There's a 1 month for $1 offer everyone should be able to take advantage of (I've had gold in the past)

  • W00t! Have been tossing up getting the Def Ed of Sleeping Dogs whenever it has been on special. Glad I didn't get it then. It's a great game, heaps of fun driving around the city and good fighting. Highly recommended :)

    • Same. Played it on Xbox 360 so I was a little reluctant to get it even when it's on sale, so it's all good.

  • I'm planning to get an xbox with gold membership. Can you access the games after December?

    • +1

Once you 'purchase' them during the dates listed above (ie checkout for free) - they're yours to keep forever.

      • Yours to keep, but wjb asked about accessing, in which case he needs Gold running to play the XB1 games but not the XB360 ones.

      • +1

Only 360 ones are yours forever. The Xbox One games require a live subscription to play.

      • Great! Thank you all for the answers =)
Another question - once redeemed and delete them because of limited storage. Can I download them again and play in future (as long as my membership is active)?

        • +1

          Yes :)

        • +3

i redeem them by logging on the desktop and purchasing, lot faster :)

      • Am i able to 'purchase' now for free and download later?

  • Possibly the best Games for Gold month in a long damn time.

  • +1

only here for the golden kappa

  • My Gold expires in Dec.. need to resubscribe.. hehe.. Already have Sleeping Dogs on PC - but would be good to have it on XB1 and stream it to my mini handheld Windows..

  • +2

Just WOW!!!!!! these games with subscription beats PS plus' sub games of last 2 years

    • +1

Just goes to show how much demand people put on the IGC, considering all four of these games have been on plus already (people on PS+ will complain if they brought SD:DE and deem it a repeat).

So much fun to be had in Burnout Paradise if you haven't played already, remember back to that one well.

      • What is the IGC?

        • Instant Game Collection.

        • @jm2014: cheers! Makes sense now ;-)

  • I just bought a Xbox one s and have 2 weeks gold trial. Can I use this trial to buy these games at discounted price and then am I still be able to play after the trial ends? Don't intend to subscribe to gold as I don't play online

    • GWG on Xbox One you lose access after expiry, on Xbox 360 you keep those games regardless of status.

Gold is more about getting all the free games each month rather than online play for many people. I almost never play online games but always renew my gold membership, usually by purchasing 12 month codes online through one of the discount stores for 40 or 50 bucks for the year. given the time of year it is you can probably snatch up a 12 month membership for under $50 if you are lucky (black Friday this week).

    • Have you ever purchased gold on your account before? If not you are eligible for a free month of xbox live which can be used to get GWG, but once it runs out you will no longer be able to access those games.

    • As per the post

      • Titles are available as free downloads for a limited time, for qualifying paid Xbox Live Gold members in all markets where Xbox Live is available. Some regions may offer different titles depending on market availability. See Major Nelson’s blog for additional details.

      • Ok thanks all for the explanation. One more question if I get the trial and BUY a game at the gold price (it's reduced), can i still play it after gold trial is finished? E.G. https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/store/p/kinect-sports-rivals…

        • For starters its cheaper on CD Keys (get it even cheaper by liking their facebook page)

To answer your question, only games with gold are effected. Deals with gold is different because you are still spending real money for the game/s. So it just acts as any other game. Game is playable but obviously can't play online features without Xbox Live.

        • @brandogs:

Thanks so much. That's a great price!

Is there a website where I can search for a game and see where I can find it cheapest?

        • @sakinah:
Have a look at this post has some good info,
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/276570
The links at the top of this deal are good source for comparison
Note games are region based for price you would need to change your region to buy from that region and also have funds purchased in that region (https://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/xb1_non_aus_digital_purchases_… )

  • Oh (profanity) yes, I activated another one month trial the other day to play some Titanfall, so keen on grabbing Burnout. I loved the PS2 era ones, but my ass was stuck on that gen for years and never played Paradise, I hear nothing but good things.

    • Let me tell you a bad thing then. The camera is too low and on PS3 I could never find a way to raise it, drove me absolutely crazy driving at high speeds and barely seeing corners coming.

      • Oh well, odds are I won't play it for a few years anyway with how bad I am at getting through my backlog anyway :)

  • Great games this month. Pity I already have sleeping dogs and outlast. Both great games

  • Hah! I was hoping Sleeping Dogs came up in the black Friday sales, this is even better. Good games next month.

  • Sleeping Dogs DE yay, the rest meh.

That moment where those unplayed games you bought ages ago appear for free…

  • Cheers OP :)

  • +3

Also … if you switch over to the Japanese store you can pick up MAX THE CURSE OF BROTHERHOOD for FREE as well. On top of that, if you jump over to the German store, you can pick up KALIMBA …. hope this helps.

  • +2

Why is Tony Abbott on the cover of Outlast?

  • Reckon ea access is a better deal than GwG these days.

  • Lost Odyssey is also free for 360 until 31/12

  • Trying to purchase Burnout Paradise (360) online for my XB1 but keep getting this error "Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again."
    - any tricks or should I be doing this on the console itself?

    • just purchase on your xb1, that error tends to come up alot.

  • I've bought the 1 month GWG but how come when I click to download these games(tried both on website and Xbx 1) it still asked for the original price??? Anyone can help out here?

  • +1
