Gears 4 is $36USD on the US which is easy to purchase and install on PCs. Over 60GB install.
Cheaper than the Australian store sale price of $60.
Multiplayer is dead but the horde mode is still going on.

It might be if you are logged into an account linked to the Aus store there might be issues.

Anyone confirm this? Do you need to VPN to make the purchase and does it download all ok after?
When going to make the purchase, it says my payment method and windows region don't match. and that i need to change my windows region. and that previous digital purchases may not work.
Anyone else confirmed that once changing your region to US and then back to AU that the game still works?
I've purchased games from multiple regions and all show up fine once purchased. The trick is completing the sale.
I find the easiest route is to buy gift cards for those regions that support them (some countries don't seem to do them) and use those to complete the transaction. You can usually get the gift cards from the Microsoft online store if you wish, the region checks on there vs those done for Live sales seem far less stringent.
You could also get the gift cards from another store if you wanted.
Ok, i tried changing my region, but it still complained. I VPN'd to the states and then that allowed me to complete the purchase. I then disconnected VPN and changed region back to AU and was able to start the download. (FYI it wants 80GB)
Best way to buy it is as follows … 1 … go to Target.com in the US and buy a digital gift card … they will email you the code within 4 hours depending on time of day purchased. Step 2 … change your Xbox One region to the US ……. enter your card code, then buy the game. Easy!!!
You can also change to the US store following the link on the MS webpage footer, which I find easier than changing the consoles region.

never played the original .. couldnt get over playing a fps with a controller.
