Can you put the price in the title as well.
EDIT: Haha, too slow.
Price missing in title and description.
What chipset does this thing use?
The rear of the unit shows a connector for an aerial antennae
Does this mean it is also a PVR / DTV Set top box?http://www.iamm.co.kr/eng/index.php?m=2&s=1
I suspect it's for the wireless……
Hi, I have the older model, Novatron NTD37HD, any idea where I can downlaad the latest firmware for it so it can finally decode H.264 like it says on the box?
Apologies for the missing information. This is the first time i've posted on Oz Bargain :). Thanks for the feedback. Meld, you can get firmware for older models at www.iamm.co.kr.
StevieRay, it does not have PVR functionality, but the new D 5566 we are stocking does do that.
There aren't actually any firmwares available for download at that website. I have googled lots of times to upgrade this device and nothing, it seems, but unhappy users. Luckily we have already upgraded to a WD TV Live instead but I would like to gift the old Novatron after I update it.
Meld, did a bit of research and found that we have never stated that the NTD36HD was capable of H.264 decoding, in fact the IAMM website snapshot from March 2007 shows no mention either:

Ive no idea what possessed the manufactuer to put it on the box, the chipset was never capable of it. Sorry to hear you were disappointed with the unit.
We bought the next model up, NTD37HD. It was ok as a media player. Just limited file support. It had features that are missing in the WDTV like "Go To Time" function which is a lot handier than basic FF/RW. We paid about $350 for it in HK.
No DTS downmix, you won't hear sound if you don't have an AMP
Slow 802.11ga full HD wirless player with DTS downmix and 802.11n for just $130
$250 is a lot of money for something that doesn't have a lot of support (as per manufacturer's website).
Price? Postage?
