    For a 'limited edition' the Porsche is getting a workout on OzBargain. I'm not complaining, I want one, it's just that half of us will have one soon. Maybe it's the colour…

    So, the Porsche hasn't been updated in eBay, but the Hoth set has.
    Also, 'CAUS10' works.

    Target really should update the Porsche price… but maybe they know it will fly out the door…..

      Thanks for the code. Was in Kmart yesterday & spent $81 on Lego for Christmas for my daughter. Today I see it's 20% off Lego at Target, free postage over $59 & by using the code brought the same items down to $62. Just saved myself $19 & will return the already bought ones back to Kmart. Cheers!

      Whats so special about the porsche?

      Without going too deep into this, these are my reasons:

      • More adults indulging their inner-child, as Lego has been around for decades. The fundamentals have remained the same throughout.
      • The Porsche 911 range is the most recognizable by the company.
      • Lego has upped their presentation. Instead of opening plastic bags filled with bricks, this one is presented in a classy manner - bricks in their own boxes (one for the drive train, another for the interior, etc.), rims highlighted when opening the box and a massive coffee table/instruction book. It weights about 1.2 kgs apparently.
      • Presented more as a experience than a car to play with. For example, you'll get to build functioning drive train/engine/gearbox, as opposed to wheels and the body being built on nothing but Lego mass (like regular kid-friendly cars).
      • Scalping is apparently high, though I can't say whether people are actually selling these at a sizeable profit.

      Here is a proper, in-depth review (NOT done by a kid, thankfully).

        yeah i seen the reviews. quite a toy. but it would have been nice if they included like a remote control since the car has the ability to move it by itself, not sure how it would work with the manual gears though haha.

    I wish LEGO had released the Batmobile with Batman and Robin separately. Others may disagree, but I think the Batcave is a bit meh.

      Yeah the batcave set has been largely panned. Mostly for the giant wall with no detailing on it. The figures and the batmobile are good though.

    Nice just picked up the Lego Mindstorms off their eBay site for $359.28
    Damn shouldn't check OZBargains during work time.
    Yesterday it was a $500 figurine.
    The day before a Mont Blanc wallet.
    Last week Lego Porsche.

    Any idea why HOLIDAY10 code could work for Lego? Toys is not included in the term, only clothes and I noticed that not all Lego can use that code.

      The code is for clothing, homewares and Christmas. I think the code is applying through the Christmas category.

      Under the Christmas category, there are subcategories for:

      Toys Baby
      Toys Preschool
      Toys 5-8 years
      Toys 9-11 years
      Toys 12+ years

      It however doesn't work for the Tech/Entertainment subcategory or using the HOLIDAY20 code.
